    1. They want an ongoing payment plan for anything going over what they deem is Indian Land and in Trudeauland, it’s ALL of Canada.

  1. And what are these words worth?
Government announcements rarely tell us the truth.
And even more rarely produce a fraction of the “Benefit” proclaimed.
The 3 P program being a perfect example.
We are told it stands for Public Private Partnership.
When in reality it means Piss Poor Planning.

And with projects such as these..with very long lead times..what is the promise of these parasites worth?
Government Contracts having such “long term ” value of late.

Sort of like that other thing..Protecting our rights and freedoms..A “Social Contract” of some kind..

    1. So you think doing without power is a good idea? How do you expect to make it? By rubbing sticks together?

  2. Back in the day,a mere 50 years ago,I believed Electricity from Nuclear reactors was the future..
    Now?
I suspect Saskatchewan will be better served, building replicas of the US Navy propulsion units,as these actually work..
    And.
    Building their own Nuclear Deterrent..
No one is going to protect us,the West is a big empty basket of resources..There for the taking.
Our property, our lives, freedoms and right to live unrestrained….
    Are just empty words..
We are not yet invaded and occupied, because it is cheaper to have our political leaders in the bag…Why take if you can con the dummies into just giving it away?

  3. Oh well, it’s out in the open. It’s all necessary for EVs and the march to Total Green.

” … equivalent to powering 1.2 million homes, helping to meet increasing demand from electrification and fuel the province’s strong economic growth, the Ontario Ministry of Energy said in a release. “Our government’s open for business approach has led to unprecedented investments across the province — from electric vehicles and battery manufacturing to critical minerals to green steel…,”

    1. Or we need the power for steel and manufacturing and this is the cover story.

      1. The power is needed because of population growth. Ontario’s population grows about 150,000 annually, mostly through immigration. This means that Ontario’s annual electricity consumption increases by about 1 TWh annually, even if nothing else changes. So Ontario will need both the reactors now planned for Darlington as well as the larger proposal for the Bruce site. This is regardless of “march for total green” or EVs. This has to happen anyway just to keep the lights on.

        1. Just think we could have started these way earlier… but hey the words bring some real “progress” to people hearts.
Now they just have to find the “WORKERS” before they all retire.
They aren’t built yet and fat fk Dougie and his ilk think training just pumps out people that will get things done.
          Well…… it doesn’t.
Strong parents and decent teachers do …….. and the Conservatives have conceded that ground along time ago.
          Let the bottom be found.

      2. Why do you need a cover story for something that is good? We need to be able to manufacture and produce steel again, especially if/when our currency goes into the crapper and the cost to import things becomes prohibitive.

        1. Dear Stevie B
Thanks for snapping me to my senses. I mean, I should have known how committed Blubber Douggie & Co. are to things like private enterprise and manufacturing by the stalwart, pro-business stance they assumed when turdo rolled out his wuhan flu bullshit.

Remember how the Great Yellow Hope stood up for us? How he told turdo to stick his wuhan flu bullshit up his arse, and how he fought against the closures and cripplings of private enterprise? Sure, you remember that, eh?

So thanks for bringing contentment to our lives. Because we all know that the best predictor of future behaviour is past behaviour.

          1. “Blubber Douggie”? You sound like a Liberal.
But then you also sound like an antinuke, and those go hand in hand.
Private enterprise? BNPD is the largest nuclear power plant in the world, and it’s privately operated.

  4. “Blubber Douggie”? You sound like a Liberal.”

Now THAT’S funny. Especially coming from a peoplekind who likely supports him.

  5. I don’t know me Canada well. So the oil rich west is getting windmills and solar and the east is investing in government subsidized nuclear?

    Is this about right?

That’s a LONG way to wheel power from the nukes.
