Basically, Saskatchewan large GHG emitters are forced to pay a form of carbon tax called “Output Based Pricing”. Some of the money from that is what was provided, from the feds, to Cowessess, for their investment equity into this project which cost hundreds of millions of dollars.
Also, Enbridge doesn’t build a lot of pipelines in Canada anymore. But they are building wind turbines off the coast of France.

IDIOTS.
More like “morons”
Good to see the Indian matron standing there doing nothing. How big a cut $$$ did her Tribe take home? Big screen TV’s for the lot of ya! Err, just the Chief’s immediate family.
Are they kipling in that picture? I’ve never seen it done.
Well, I can tell you, it’s ruddy ‘ard!
And at 8:40 AM, this morning of July 7, there is not one megawatt of power being generated by wind in all of Alberta. None.

The aviation weather maps tell us why. Alberta and SK are under an atmospheric high-pressure zone, where the nearest isobars (pressure gradient lines) are wide apart, from eastern BC all the way to western Manitoba. When the pressure gradient is as shallow as that, there is little or no wind. And on high-pressure days, we get clear skies and lots of sun and heat, just the sort of time you need electricity for air conditioning and any other refrigeration. The sort of weather our MSM call a “heat dome,” as if it’s something new.
And in the winter, that high pressure brings clear skies and very cold temperatures, as the little heat absorbed by the earth is radiated off into space at night, through that clear sky. Cold times that need electricity.
These people really don’t get it, do they?
Is Cowessess going to be the first rez in Canada to go off the grid? They’ve got the power to do it.
Heh. I’ll just pretend not to notice the one without a shovel.
Sometimes the jokes write themselves.
This type of picture is revolting. Bunch of suits pretending to do physical labor.
Try and lift a load of anything for a few hours, having your lever hand higher than the halfway point on the shovel.
Please tell me how little you know about what “those people” actually do in a day.
At least green dress isnt doing anything, which is better than pretending to do something.
The difference was is that despite how primitive and crude Ford’s early vehicles were, they actually worked and were useful, as many model Ts and As stayed on the road for decades.
These batteries? Not so sure on that. I doubt a current Tesla or leaf is going to still be on the road or even used as a farm vehicle 20 years in the future.
I got a beater 1999 F-150 I’ll be selling in a few weeks. Heater questionable. Transmission, kinda. Gremlin in signal lights. But still works, and could be useful on the farm!
Henry Ford received massive subsidies to transition from horse and buggy to automobiles.
Isn’t that Jenn second from the right?
