What’s striking about such scenes, I think, is the eye-widening selfishness on display. Other passengers, other people, including children, are seemingly of no importance. Except, perhaps, as obstacles, or targets. And yet we’re told, often and at length, that those who repeatedly indulge in antisocial and criminal behaviour are creatures deserving of indulgence, and with whom we should empathise.

Culture matters.
She could submit it as Justins’ passport photo.
I am in multi residential property management.
Whenever I have some bleeding heart progressive lecture me on how we are all in this together and we need to empathize more, I ask them: Could you do me a favour; when I get a 3am phone call from a distressed tenant daring to complain about a tweaking out drug addict, or a person with mental health issues having an episode, that just either maybe fought in the stairwell, threatened them, assaulted them, can I call them to come with me so they can help me ask the tweaked out person and / or calm down the one having mental breakdown issues, to stop doing that antisocial behaviour.
Then they need to explain to the tenant that because the L/T court system is messed up I can’t get them out of their lives for at least a few months if not a year so they will have to endure this daily till then.
Watching their hypocritical pea brained heads explode is one of my more delicious moments in life.
Telemedicine in public?
Throw that thing in a mental hospital and leave it there
The headline could just as easily read, We Are Obstacles To Their World
