This use of the legal system as punishment — lawfare — goes beyond mere political vindictiveness. This is, in fact, common practice post-Trump. It is the normalizing of political prosecution by partisan actors using the legal system as cover in a way that appeals to American sensibilities, especially the aesthetic, “rule of law,” which we’re conditioned to believe, in a neutral sense, we still live under. But we don’t. These aren’t real trials. They’re simulacra. We’ve become a Potemkin democracy. Nothing is as it seems. All is power. And power is all.
While this was obvious to some, I think even the most jaded have been shocked to what Trumps victory and his dogged refusal to buckle has exposed in terms of the sheer scope and depth of the venality and corruption of the ruling class.

The main difference between fascism and Marxism is that Hitler and Stalin hated each other. Because the commies prevailed, everything that opposes them is fascist.

They think the Twitter files are nonsense, covid vacines work, there has been no infringement of our civil liberties throughout covid, the economy is fine and recovering, “any reduction of CO2 is good”.
They hate the truckers and think the lady in the mobility scooter had the horse stomping “coming”.
They call Ashli Babbit a “f n bjtch” that also had it coming and the J6 demonstrators hate democracy and were insurrectionists.
They are extremely insulting and brag about NOT reading because it’s “far right cult knuckle dragging steaming pile of $#++”.
