5. Wow, that Flemish guy – awesome speech! I was thinking why Poilievre is not more like that? PP is always after house affordability, Conservatives are somehow better and other minor things which never emboldens us on the Right and never makes a dent to the Shiny Pony.    I’m not going to defend Allende or his predecessors however this statement is bullshit. I spent about two years backpacking throughout most of Latin America including about five months in Chile from 1971-72. It was definitely not a third world county and was certainly richer then any Central American country or Colombia/Ecuador/Peru/Bolivia, etc.. That said the socialists and the communist Allende were certainly ruining the economy. That was much to the benefit of travellers like me who benefited from a wonderful black market for U.S. currency. The five months in Chile were almost free
