    1. It will continue until even the nuttiest of today’s nutbars throw up their hands and scream “Oh, fer F**K’s sake”.

  1. I wish the Americans would hurry up and get the cleansing started.

And hopefully they will free Canadians after they clean their own house.

But if they were smart, they would leave Canada alone as a warning of the dangers of being a communist coward country.

Although they could just let California carry on.

  2. This is a must read as Victor Davis Hanson covers what our society is today and it seems to be repeating the French Revolution. Scary times.

  3. I like VDH but he seems like a grumpy old man, always complaining but not giving a solution.

No there isn’t a revolution coming, the next leadership generation is passive and so like sheeple so will the US and Canada go, to the shearers.

My suggestion is start hunkering down, think outside the box, as in the government will NOT look after you.
Digital currency is coming and thereby all that hard work might be gone at a click. As those who invested in Bitcoin type currencies. You got thousands of dollars in bitcoin? Good for you, so how are you going to “cash” those in, as in you need someone at the other end willing to exchange the coins for goods.

I read less than 2% use bitcoin for exchange, like some dipper coffee shop or something.

You got gold? that’s nice, but a bit hard to eat.

Don’t advertise you are a prepper, but start thinking that way, store up foods.

1 Timothy 4:2 “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,”

The Bible is clear in the last days this is rough times ahead, and the anti-meat movement is just one of the
signs being fulfilled before our eyes…

1 Timothy 4:1-5 “forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”

Hey that’s ok if you don’t agree, but worse are those who berate someone else’s opinion…
2 Peter 3:3 “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts…”

But carry on, keep complaining, tell me how bad it is, and one day wonder why they can’t complain online any more.

By then it will be too late to start prepping.

Hunker down, the coming storm is going to be too big for keyboard warriors to fix.

    1. I’ll try not to berate your opinion although you seem happy to berate Hanson’s. He tends to be wiser and more knowledgeable than most here, however. By the way, there’s always hope.

      1. Thank you, like I said, I like and respect VDH but I’m seeing/hearing a lot of commentators, rightfully so, criticizing but no solution.

    2. Some are in denial and are caught up in the theatrics and rail against the antagonists. Many, many others see thru the theatrics. As the curtain falls on the Marxist culture wars, the stage has been set for the next crisis.

“””Whitney Webb, a writer and researcher, sheds light on who the people at the top are that are pulling the strings and setting policies that push us into a digital prison. She goes in depth about the intelligence community, the banking system…the distraction of culture wars, how the banking crises are being used to push us into a system of control, and how everything leads us to the exact same place- Digital Prison!”””

Subjects of this supranational state have had a taste of it with Banks freezing accounts for supporting a wrong protest.

  4. I think the left is just getting warmed up. If you’re a conservative…hard times are a comin’.

  5. VDH Commentaries are always of value, and in this one he’s right on the money. I’m amazed this idiocy has gone on even this long, but at some point……

    1. Yes, we fail to prosecute people for actual violence, while prosecuting others for words. DeMarxist dystopia; our cowardly new world.
Now amoral partisan puritans decide the value of others in society – their beliefs, their actions, access to due process, their right to life.
If you want to replace God given natural rights with some humanistic god where humans decide rights, that is despots playing God.
That’s never ended well. So why did civil society bother to take a thousand depraved years to rescue peasants from statist servitude?
Because government is poor at picking winners, but losers (especially lethally negligent ones) are good at picking government.
How we end up with $13B to subsidize a rich corporation for a $7B factory, facts becoming cancellable crime, rule of law extinguished.

  6. What did I say wrong to have my comment that VDH is a grumpy old man be monitored and blocked?

Just curious, thought we can share freely here.

    1. In a better day, we learned to respect our elders due to their life lived experience and wisdom. Now, it seems every punkass whippersnapper demands their malignant opinions be respected instead. Yeah … the counter Revolution is coming and the freaks will be fed to the wolves.

    2. Sometimes if a comment is too long, it will auto go to pending. It takes me a while to correct it, as I’m busy around the farm this time of year.

  7. If VDH is correct and I hope he is, the push back will have to come from those of the left as the rest of us have no traction in those circles.

  8. VDH is amazing.
He tells you everything you already know, BUT, with the lightning speed of change today, while reading him you find yourself thinking, ‘Geebus, yeah, forgot about that one …. oh and this one’ …. etc. I have a general bookmark folder entitled Articles. Many of VDH’s are archived there.

As a classics scholar he has the biggest of BIG views. This Jacobin analogy has to be one of his best.

    1. Can’t wait til knitting politics comes back in style.

Talk about your checks and balances.
