Go Woke, Go Broke

It ain’t over.

Sales of Bud Light have been plunging since the company enlisted the help of transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney in a marketing campaign a month ago.

In the week that ended April 22, the brand’s in-store sales plummeted more than 26%, according to figures reported by Bump Williams Consulting, a Connecticut-based firm that specializes in the alcoholic beverage industry.

And the decline is only accelerating. The week before, sales dropped by 21%. The week before that, it was 11%.

@Cernovich Sheer brutality. Conservatives finally pull off a massively successful boycott. I’ve never seen it happen and didn’t think it would work. Shout out to Matt Walsh and others who made it happen.

  1. In other good news, Vice Media Group is expected to file for bankruptcy later this week if they can’t find a buyer. Geez, that’d be a shame.
I must say, things are looking up.

    1. I’d like to formalize an offer to Vice Media Group, here & now, of 20 bucks/ton.

  2. I didn’t even know who the gearbox was until it’s stupid face showed up on the Can O Piss.
The King of Queers is not a good phrase for typical beer drinkers.

  3. If former Bud Lite drinkers bought something else instead, they’re never going back because now they realize how crappy their beverage of choice is.

  4. I never drank that budgie-piss in the first place, so it’s not as though I could boycott it.
If you’re a man and you drank that crap, you’re at least half a fag.
Fake beer…fake woman. Yeah they’re made for each other.

  5. It would take a real tough guy to put up with the torment brought on by drinking what is universally perceived by real men as Queer Beer. Methinks the brand is dead. It might as well have flashing lights saying “I am Gay” on every can.

  6. Talked to a local bar owner yesterday, asked if he was moving much Tranny Fluid. He shook his head, no.

  7. To punish the company you need to boycott all their brands:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AB_InBev_brands

    For Canada this means:
    Labatts
    Alexander Kieth’s
    Blue Star
    Kokanee
    Lakeport
    Mill Street Brewery

Plus other imports you can find here such as:
    Corona
    Becks
    Hoegarden
    Leffe
    Michelob Stella Artois
    Stella Artois

    1. I think focusing on the one brand is more effective. When it goes to zero it’ll be a reminder for corporations.

      1. I have never bought Bud light in my life, but I have bought Keith’s, Kokanee, Mill Street, Stella, Leffe and Hoegarden. Not any more.

      2. Most people only drink one or two brands of beer. If you drink anything AB-InBev, try something else. You may like it better, or you may find something less expensive. Try a Molson-Coors product, like Miller

My go-to beer was Michelob since I was 16 years old. They stopped brewing that 20 years ago.

        1. “Try a Molson-Coors product, like Miller”

FFS. Quit supporting MS breweries, period. There are 10’s of thousands of craft breweries out there who brew far better beer than any of the big guys do. You may pay a bit of a premium but the quality of the beer is likely to be far better.

Plus, you may be supporting local & you will definitely be supporting small business.

  8. I beg to differ here. I won’t be buying any bud/bud light ever again. There’s no apology that’ll fix this for them.

    1. No apology erases a deliberate hostility. AB deliberately, with malicious forethought … mocked and shocked their core customer demographic. They don’t like us … or even want us to be alive. They want to redefine the world as they deem it to be … not as God created it. They HATE you, and they HATE God. Your beer company mocks The God of the Universe. Your beer company mocks Mother Nature. That’s never ever ended well for mankind.

  9. Years ago, former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan said that eventually someone would successfully stand up to the woke bullies. It looks like that “someone” turned out to be the people who used to drink Bud Lite. I don’t think a brand has ever been pushed off the edge of a cliff like this before. You can smell the fear in the marketing world. Maybe this Bud’s for you but it’s not for me.

  10. Budweiser just doesn’t have geldings in the barn, they have them in the marketing room

  11. It stands to reason that the lite beer drinkers will likely switch to one of the other top lite beers. That’s a double hit for the AB Budlite ranking; ie it accelerates the sales ranking decline.
As others here have said, this isn’t reversible.

  12. I still don’t know anyone that has boycotted Bud Light. Being water that identifies as beer, nobody drank it in the first place.

  13. I remember my parents telling me about a local brewery that decided to go on strike before Christmas.

They expected the public to fall to its knees.

The public switched to cider instead.

    Yep.

  14. I’ve never had a Bud Lite. I’ve never had ANY lite beer, what’s the point? Might as well drink near-beer.

However I have on occasion had a regular Bud when offered. Not impressed. I suspect my buddies who drank it then won’t be drinking it any more.

  15. Remember when Schlitz was one of the Top 3 brands?

They cheapened up the product, sped up the fermentation process, and the flavor changed. People left for other brands, and Schlitz cratered.

We may be seeing the same with Annheuser Busch and BUD.

  16. It’s harder to have an effective boycott of Maybelline, et al. The products don’t turn over fast enough, and there are too many alternatives. So, I’ve been encouraging people to support the following company, if only by getting the word out. This will be my Mother’s Day present this year: https://www.egardwatches.com/collections/accessories/products/womanhood-necklace-gold — the good news is that they’re on backorder because of unexpected increase in demand! They have a number of film shorts that are worth watching/sharing.
