No matter what you think about Scott Adams’ recent comments, he does highlight a disturbing trend regarding race relations in our culture. What SDA readers have known for a long time is that the criteria for determining hate speech tends to be, well, just a little bit subjective. Take, for instance, the Quebec government’s recent stand on non-French speaking immigrants.
To paraphrase Adams, the Quebec government is effectively proclaiming, “Stay the f*** away from us!”.
So where’s the outrage? All I hear is crickets.
Legault’s nationalist Coalition Avenir Quebec party was re-elected with a huge majority in October, partly on a platform of protecting French as the dominant language in the province of 8.7 million people. His speech to the legislature Wednesday laid out his priorities for his second term, including a plan to bar almost all economic immigrants who don’t speak French by 2026.

Adams didn’t say anything sane people are already thinking. If a black guy said to stay away from Whites, he would be celebrated instead of vilified. Same goes for Québécois saying for the Anglophones to stay away.

Canada is proof that smaller culturally cohesive and co-operative units is better than state enforced multicultural but divergent, un-natural unions. Quebec, within Canada is a continentally isolated cultural ghetto, and one that has a constitutionally elevated political impact that is often applied to the detriment of other provinces that would be better off on their own. IOW, Canada, governed as it has been influenced by Quebec, with a culture with more animosity than fealty towards the ROC, would be better abandoned in favour of smaller entities. IOW, I don’t give a FF how much fascism the Quebec people choose to live under to preserve their 300 year old version of French but I would rather not be governed by a parliament that includes them and disproportionately.
