Yikes. When things go wrong with that many horses harnessed up together, they often go REALLY wrong.
Budweiser has had some pretty good wrecks over the years.
The lead horses are a long way out there from the wagon with only a set of driving lines to control them. If they decide to turn back you are powerless to stop them. Once they get in a tangle horses fall down and chaos results. Sometimes a horse gets hurt but for the most part they are well behaved amid the bedlam.
Yes beautiful. I often think having been raised around horses that honestly many of the arena’s are just to small for those big hitches.
Just my 2 cents. But what professionalism and what beautiful animals.
When ever I would go to the CS or the NFR I always had to see the Heavy Horses one of my favorites.

The dogs name is Bud…
One year at KDays in Edmonton Budweiser had their hitch on display. I was helping out a buddy who had a 6 horse hitch. Every morning Bud would come through the barn and leave a steamer in our tack room. We got sick of the SOB pretty quick and were waiting for him first thing the next morning when he strolled in and just as he humped up to leave his calling card I hit him with a bucket of water.
That cured Bud. We never saw him the rest of the week.
