It is possible, but it requires the complete gutting of the government and the reduction of at least 50% of the white collar bureaucracy, a 10 year moratorium on immigration, and convincing Canadians that they have to take care of themselves.
Somehow I don’t see modern Canadians going along with any of those.

I understand that solutions to problems like this in the past have included a debt jubilee; debts are wiped out because people can’t even begin to pay and creditors are left holding the bag. Seems about right to me.

Canadians vote for people whose financial acumen resembles their own.
This is why they are close to insolvency after every paycheque but still want that Xbox.
The country running out of money will only make them furrow their brows in frustration as to why free things aren’t appearing.
Canada is certainly, not only worth saving, but it must be saved.
I do believe that 53 years ago, this was the most free country in the world. That is no longer the case.
