One of the greatest CBC radio documentary makers and foreign editor was Michael Finlay. He was the victim of a random attack on the streets of Toronto in mid-afternoon a week ago. Michael died in hospital tonight. His perp has not been apprehended.

I rejoice in the death of no man, but if someone must get killed in a mugging, let it be the Michael Finlays of the world.
I don’t know anything about him, but I suspect he had retired before the real wave of crazy swept in.

Did he? I have listened to CBC on and off, and Michael Finlay was one of the better producers. Regardless on what anyone may think about his political beliefs, we should deplore his death.

Instead … fine leftist leaders like “Mr. Statement” cheer the legalization of weed.

It’s not that I don’t have sympathy for the guy. Death by head injury, he didn’t even get a chance to fight back. That’s a bad way to go. Now his family has to face up to the fact that he was murdered, pointlessly. My condolences.

To get back on topic about the state of affairs in Can Ah Duh’s major cities. What can you expect when you decriminalize drugs, shut down mental health institutions, and tax Joe Q. Public into the poorhouse. It is a far different country today than what the survivors of WWI and II fought and died for. Since then the progressives have utterly destroyed the moral fibre of the country. In a nut shell they have deemed it immoral to institutionalize people because they suffer from mental health or drug problems, it is an infringement on their human rights, and on the other hand Joe Q. Public, by parliamentary decree cannot defend himself or his family, which used to be a recognized human right. Indeed we have allowed the inhabtants of Bedlam to take control of government.
