  1. Happy New year, everyone!
I was a big fan of SCTV back in the day, I remember how happy it made me to see one of the 90-minute shows in the TV Guide, way back before the world turned to shite.

  2. Happy New Ears to Kate, the contributors and all the denizens!

Hopefully 2020 v3 is less buggy than the earlier releases.

  3. “Happy New Year, everyone! Here’s hoping that 2023 is an absolutely terrific year for you and your loved ones.” Thank y’all. I don’t share the optimistic view, but whatever will be, will be.

SDA has been a great source of news, insights, second opinions and fun. I look forward to one more year of instructive content from the bloggers and the comments.

    Cheers!

  4. Lovely that 2023 is starting off with news that Poliviere is a pro-lockdown mask mandating vaxx pass booster turncoat. No doubt he’s a great reset wef booster.

  5. Happy 2023 Kate and those other contributors! You are THE BEST!
My first stop in the AM, and my last stop in the PM. (Here I am again.)
Been here for what seems like ages.
    Take care!

  6. I met John candy at the Calgary Children’s hospital when he was filming Cool Running he did a surprise visit. Massive guy with huge hands and big voice we could hear all thru the unit.
    Good times great guy.
    Happy New Year everybody

  7. Drove 900 miles today (try doing that in an electric car), and still made it home in time to watch the Fox News New Years Party in Nashville. Now they know how to throw a party, and they did it in a party town!

  8. Happy New Year to us good guys. The rest can FOAD. You know who you are.

As for a prediction, invest heavily in popcorn futures as the shitshow continues.

  9. George Stephanopouls boss has a massive heat attack, at swanky golf resort, and dies. Two hours later boss’s wife arrested for child endangerment….

Turns out that the now-dead ABC exec and his wife left baby and toddler at hotel room and partied most of the night.

Media coverage. Turns out the Stephanopoulos exec croaked eight days ago, and the following day the entire corporate media sing the praises of the ABC higher-up. Only six days does the arrest get reported, by a few media.

    1. Sanskrit? I have taken a lot of religion courses and two subjects I’ve always avoided are Greek and Hebrew. Instead I study the Bible as God intended, the King James Version.

      1. I’ve been thinking of doing a degree in religion studies. I’d like to study the prophecy of Joseph Smith, founder of the Latter-Day Saints. That way, if anybody asks me to do anything, I can say, “Sorry, I’ve got Mormon portent things to do”!

  10. Interesting.

Ancient Humans May Have Sailed The Mediterranean 450,000 Years Ago

    https://www.sciencealert.com/ancient-humans-may-have-sailed-the-mediterranean-450000-years-ago

“According to a new analysis of shorelines during the mid-Chibanian age, there’s no other way these ancient hominins could have reached what we now call the Aegean Islands. Yet archaeologists have found ancient artifacts on the islands that pre-date the earliest known appearance of Homo sapiens.”

    1. The world has been around many times, as it will do again and again long after our fears and schemes have been ground into dust.

Science has enjoyed a largely unearned (respect ?) / free lunch for far to long and when one wakes up to the b*llsh*t these people spew for grant money then a jaundiced eye is all that should be left to judge them by.
Stop and think about it; just what does something like a hundred billion plus light years even mean and who could even fathom such a number?

Real physics is the only discipline that has any real meaning.

  12. Edmonton man faces 18 more charges in child luring, sexual assault investigation
    https://archive.today/3HPdr#selection-3435.1-3435.82

Imesh Ratnayake, 21, was first arrested in July after an Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) investigation by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit. He’s accused of luring six girls between the ages of 11 and 13 in the Edmonton and Morinville areas, using the social media app Snapchat.

  13. How does a pedo get close to children? Drag Queen story hour for kids at public libraries is one way. A disbarred Ottawa lawyer and convicted pedo had two ways of preying on children. He was a child-protection lawyer (I am not making this up) and later joined Alcoholics Anonymous:

“Ottawa police say the former lawyer infiltrated Alcoholics Anonymous meetings only to be around members’ children between August and November.”

Never underestimate what a pedo will do to sexually assault children.

  14. Candy and Levy pulled off the Schmenge Brothers schtick. It was kind of like the Blues brothers skit that Belushi and Ackroyd did, only funny.

Eugene Levy (Yosh) has an obvious accordion background. He’s played a few polka tunes at some point.

Lutonia must be near Ukraine? Maybe on the Polish border.
