I’ve never seen anything like this at Pearson Airport in Toronto.
A mass of humanity and luggage upon arrival. pic.twitter.com/VfOOYxSoWA

Note: Devin Heroux is a Saskatoon kid, son of a good friend. So don’t go trolling him.

Omar Alghabra (Canada Transport Minister) has been busy sorting out that VIA Rail mess so it’s quite understandable that airports aren’t able to operate as efficiently.
Rumpelstiltskin’s false outrage has been noted.
He can carry on pretending that he is doing his job.
One would have thought that Omar would be good at his job. He’s good at math, with a name like Algebra and all.
Canada’s “best airport”
What a tier 2 shitshow Canada is, and no one to blame but the gov’t.
Guess who everyone will ask help from?
“The government should DO something!!!”
The federal government did do something. Trudeau taped year-end interviews with CBC and CTV news, carefully explaining how good his government is performing.
How about hiring thousands of intelligent white men.
Canada’s way of saying, “Sam Brinton is welcome here.”
I know, right? Sam Brinton heaven.
“Pick and choose, pick and choose. Let’s see…. where do I start?”
Reminds me of a run on the crypto Bitcoin market.
But I doubt there’s very much money in those suitcases ?
no, they are full of Republican ballot papers from assorted US counties
“Canadians” voted for a post nation, they wouldn’t want to get rid of “Canada” if it worked.
Fun thing as it goes. It’s not bug but a feature.
They don’t want you to travel.
That is what taxes and social credit are for.
This is run-of-the-mill bad planning.
Weather combined with a strong bourgeois desire to make air travel as terrible for the proles as they’ve made everything else.
Funny how the weather doesnt interfere if you’re a certain someone off to Jamaica or a different, special, snowbird off to Florida for the month.
I’m sure they’ve earned the tan that none of the rest of us could make work now.
Funny that, I saw the IDENTICAL thing here in Calgary at WestJets 3 carousels….Last Wed night as I came back from Fort Hills.
Not only were we delayed over an hour, when we landed at YYC, we had to wait 30+ minutes before they even got one of those people moving arms to the aircraft….then another 25 minutes for them to get some ground crew out. When I finally got off the the plane and downstairs to Luggage….OMG. At least 700+ folks, carousels full of luggage…another Shitshow.
Ask one of the WestJet clerks which Carsousel YFB was unloading on..? .and none of them knew shit.
It took over an hour for my bag to come….next time.?? Its coming in the cabin with me…along with my backpack.
Just unreal.
It’s Appalling what Trudeau has done to Canada!!!! Hope Eastern Canada are happy —–the country is bankrupted and badly broken!
All segments of Canadian Society are showing the same cancerous decay!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
It wasn’t much better back in August, we got back from our trip, had to go through clogged customs, and then Air Canada sent our luggage to a different carousel that what the signs said… took almost an hour to find it.
Almost made me wish we used the DHL option instead
Omar Algebra better call in his best buddy Calculus to sort out this mess. Then again, like physics, it is probably a racist undertone here as it is whitey’s fault.
Flew four times this year, on WestJet where I have gold status from all my pre-Covid flying (unvaxxed so not allowed to fly for some time). Horrible experience all four times. Flight from YYC to YVR took 7 hours. 3 hour flight delay due to air traffic control constraints (not the weather which was perfect), 2 hours luggage wait, 2 hours rental car wait.
At YYC there is never anyone waiting at the ramp when the aircraft rolls in. The new normal.
The cause is that everybody in the transportation and hospitality industry has quiet quit due to the way they were treated by their employers.
Well, I wanted to spend a few glistening winter wonderland days in Quebec City this week, so I looked for transportation about 2 months ago. As for flights, there was nothing for less that $650 US, and no combination of connections that took less than 9 hours each way from Washington DC.
So then I looked at the trains and discovered that the NY-Montreal route is still not operating because of some kind of executive paranoia in the belle provence.
And nothing there is worth the 14 hour drive, so I’m better off hibernating at home than to listen to some random bartender insult my schoolboy french.
9hrs ? may as well go to Europe, you could really have your French sniffed at
In Australia its frequently cheaper and more interesting to go to Asia (Bali, Thailand, Vietnam) than holiday in country
Air travel in Can Ahh Duh,demonstrates all the advantages of central planning.
And we see more and more “Central Planning” from our great soviet every year.
The fact that such thinking, imposition of rigid planning from afar, bankrupted the Soviet Union, has been lost from Our Government centres of child indoctrination..Oh I mean Public Schools..
We were once promised that access to accurate information and faster means of communication, would allow so much greater flexibility in the moving of goods and people..
How is that working?
Where one perfectly predicable snow storm sends waves of chaos across the rigidly planned schedules of man..
