  1. I looked for the word “Christmas” on the CP Train and the linked website. I did not find it. The whole reason we are celebrating today is not mentioned once, such is the state of western societies.

So let the train’s colored lights celebrate everything BUT Christ … good luck with that … because we all KNOW what’s being celebrated … and always will.

  10. Happy Festivus! I am following Dr. Theresa Tam’s orders this Festivus. I have the windows open to prevent a Covid infection while shoveling the snow out of my apartment. I love Science.

      1. How I remember those days. We were all unified after the Berlin Wall fell. That concert back in 1989, or was it 1990, was in celebration of that event. For one brief shining moment, the entire planet was unified, or so it seemed. That moment was all too fleeting, it seems. When Roger Waters wrote “The Tide is Turning” (from his “Radio KAOS” album, of which I have a copy, and I believe was his first release after Pink Floyd broke up), who would have believed, given his current politics, that back then, he was referring to the tide turning toward a new world order.

    Curious as to what means of energy is used to provide such a fabulous light display while in motion…..I wonder if there are some type of wind mill generator or magic capacitor

    1. I won’t. That’s the first thing I noticed watching that vid, that the words “Merry Christmas” was missing.

      They are trying to disappear the main reason WHY we celebrate the “holidays.” I see nothing wrong with wishing non-Christians a Merry Christmas, as a Christian myself often times wish my Jewish friends a “Happy Chanukah.” I would even wish my Muslim Friends a “Happy Ramadan” (Ramadan Mubarak).

      THAT is how to be “inclusive.” Wishing “Happy Holidays” is just the lazy way of greeting people during the festive season. I prefer to get to know the person I’m greeting, and wish them the appropriate greeting.

      For people I don’t know, I wish them a “Merry Christmas,” because I am a Christian, and that is part of my identity. I see no reason to conceal the fact that it IS INDEED CHRISTMAS.

      Speaking of which… Merry Christmas, everyone. Happy Chanukah, and if I’m missing anyone, my best wishes throughout the holiday season, and for the new year.

        1. If that’s your thing, then by all means. Happy Kwanzaa. I am not a POC, so forgive me for the neglect. I believe the Kwanzaa festival begins today, December 26th, does it not?

          So for all the POC’s out there, indeed… enjoy the festive Kwanzaa festival.

            I am of the Christian persuasion and lily white , should have said Merry Christmas as I did in another thread.
            Kwanzaa is make believe BS started back in the 70’s by some disgruntled Marxist of the POC persuasion.
            It was created out of some misguided fury that POC’s should have a festival for themselves besides all the other religions, jealousy in essence.
            And now we have Festivus for the Rest of Us, based on some TV sitcom from the 90’s, how bizarre is that.

    Having said that, I find I’m struggling to stay optimistic about the future these days. I feel I’ve always been awake to what’s going on. And I could at least take small comfort that our opponents, misguided and wrong on so many fundamental issues, still abided by the ‘rules of engagement’, ie nominal respect of all citizens and the law. However, there’s now an obvious evil guiding and driving events, tearing apart society in every possible way. 90 years ago when we last faced such tumult, we came together to defeat it. Now, all the tumult and destruction is being coming from within, deliberately, and with a shocking amount of support.
    I feel despair – for the future my school aged boys will inherit, and anger – because I’ve done everything to withstand the onslaught (voted, donated, never succumbed to the jab psy-op, moved to a better jurisdiction, sacrificed and risked so much) but will suffer because the evil is so pervasive.

    I wish I could feel merry, but I think things are going to get so much worse. I’m scared and sad.

      I am a naturally optimistic perskn and I can honestly say I feel the same way as you do.
      It has only been a few years since I have awakened to what is happening in the world and the direction we are heading. I have been stunned how quickly so many things have spiraled downhill at what seems an uncontrolled speed.
      I am glad I am in my 60’s and not in my 30’s or 40’s with a family to raise. Having said that, I am VERY concerned what the next 5-15 years hold in store. Censorship, WEF and gov’t control, and interference by big tech, just to name a few. Like you, I feel sad and scared.

  23. I was stuck watching the Toronto news and they had members of the Canadian Armed Forces stationed abroad sending greetings home to family and friends in Canada. Every one of them said Happy Holidays/Seasons Greetings rather than Merry Christmas. Was that an order from their superiors?

  27. Spent the day with friends and family, laughs, food, drink, fun in general. The first in a couple of years. Hopefully will do it again today with those that could not get through the snow yesterday. It was a Merry Christmas for a change.
