Let That Sink In

The latest in the Twitter Files, from Matt Taibbi: TWITTER AND “OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES”

After weeks of “Twitter Files” reports detailing close coordination between the FBI and Twitter in moderating social media content, the Bureau issued a statement Wednesday.

It didn’t refute allegations. Instead, it decried “conspiracy theorists” publishing “misinformation,” whose “sole aim” is to “discredit the agency.”

They must think us unambitious, if our “sole aim” is to discredit the FBI. After all, a whole range of government agencies discredit themselves in the #TwitterFiles. Why stop with one?

  1. Can you imagine the horror of not being protected by these people?
Mad bombers, mass shooters, merchants of death, etc, would be everywhere!
    EVERYWHERE I tells ya!
I take some small hope in the fact that Americans are not quite as retarded as Canadians.

    1. Hi, I would not take even money on that. Election fraud is ongoing, covid is still in the air and damn near everything is broken. What ever canada is doing America is way ahead of us.

  2. It would be unrealistic to expect the FBI to engage with the public honestly, as that would be inconsistent with the policies of every other branch of the Biden administration. In other words, deny the truth you see with your lying eyes.

  3. Imagine the shit that goes on at the CRTC and the State Organs of Cuba North.
Were Trudeau’s Chief of Staff vets actual articles before publication.
    The Great Canadian Penal Colony.

    1. For the most part, the prisoners here happy to be prisoners, some of them would like a warden who would give them more yard time, others want more free smokes, and one side calls the other liberals or conservatives.
Very few of us would like to be free.
Again, our flag should be two yellow stripes and a buttercup.

  4. Sounds identical to the vast right wing conspiracy that Shrillary revealed 30 some years ago. It certainly has long legs.

  5. Clarification:
    1. The DOJ is the ONLY entity that can hold the FBI (or any other alphabet agency) accountable for overstepping the US Constitution.
    2. The DOJ is rife with ideologues and political animals who have shown a multitude of times that they are willing to operate purely as a political tool for the Left.
    3. The ONLY way to neuter the DOJ and bring them back into the fold of equal and blind justice is for a President to install a wrecking ball Attorney General who will ignore the press and clean out the previously mentioned ideologues and political animals with prejudice.
    4. #3 is now impossible to do because the DOJ has shown that they are willing to look the other way on election fraud assuring that a true conservative will never occupy the Oval Office again.
    5. And, even if by some divine miracle a person occupies the highest Executive Office position as Conservative, his/her nominee for Attorney General must pass the approval of the Senate (I will remind you that a piece of broccoli named Fetterman was able to comfortably win a Senate seat). Once again, the DOJ is willing to look the other way on any key election when the fraud works to their advantage.

Simply put, the FBI is feeling their oats. They are emboldened enough to not even refute the information showing their blatant violation of the Constitution. At the same time, their response makes the entire issue political.

But, Orson, what about the House being under GOP control in January. Surely, they will investigate these wrongdoings. Except, the House can only make recommendations on subpoenas, investigations and indictments to the DOJ. The DOJ will not only ignore these recommendations…they will likely target those making the requests (as they have in the past). Additionally, the passing of that asinine budget before the end of the current term assures that Funding cannot be used as a tool to control bad actor agencies until at least next September.

    1. How much dirt does the FBI have in its files on senior DOJ employees? Or Democrat politicians?

I suspect the Epstein files (which will never be released) also implicate a whole bunch of prominent people.

    2. Congress can eliminate it, determine its budget, and restrict how funds can be spent.

The only way to reform it is via legislation.

  6. The other thing the “twitterfiles” have shown is that the FBI is over- run with pedos.

I assume all other federal agencies to be infected with the same disease.

  7. You wont get a clear answer because the FBI were fighting racists and climate deniers.. How can I put this so you will understand.. Large companies, government organizations bring in rules and regulations that have no standing in actual law.. More or less the human resources department is crafting laws as if they were a legislature.. The people and the departments within these companies are surrounded by and beholding to these principals, goals or for lack of another word laws..

As far as their concerned they have done nothing wrong.. When called on it they will give no specific answer because no specific answer can be given.. Fine if you make running shoes.. A disaster if your the Federal police.. The Gestapo, measuring your head with calipers.. Im sure the FBI would like to make political proclamations like most other large companies with human resources departments do.. But that would out them for what they are.. Political mercenaries..

  8. “attempting to discredit the agency”..Who wrote that drivel?
And where have they been these last 6 years.
No one can “Attempt to discredit the agency” that has inflicted so much discredit upon itself.
How can you “discredit” a corrupt out of control government agency?
Their own behaviour has wiped out any “Credit” they every built up.
Political Minions and proud of it.

And now this idiotic attempt to blame their victims, these are the parasitic overload, totally unaware of the cost of their idiocy.

  9. It is common practice of those on the left who cannot refute the claims of those on the right, to employ ad hominems and not even try to discus the actual issue.

    1. “It is common practice of those on the left who cannot refute the claims of those on the right, to employ ad hominems and not even try to discus the actual issue.”

Question drag queens in kindergarten classes: “Shut up, HOMOPHOBE!”
Question carbon taxes: “Shut up, DENIER!”
Question obvious election fraud: “Shut up, ELECTION DENIER!”
Question Ukrainian corruption: “Shut up, PUTIN SUPPORTER!”

They do this because they know they dare not even attempt to discuss or debate their positions. COWARDS, every one of them.

  10. There is a possible starting point to a solution to this, provided it can be done in a very public way.

Republicans claim to have at least 15 whistleblowers willing to expose the FBI. If these folks have the goods and if the hearings are done in a very public forum perhaps even Democrats will be forced to deal with facts.

The huge IF is whether the media will be forced to cover this.

To expect Wray et al to resign is too big an ask – it would mean that they have a modicum of dignity.

  11. Yes, stating the facts discredits the FBI and a lot of other government agencies. It’s almost like they know it was wrong and feel… shame?
