Some New Heroes Are Coming to the Fore

An emerging name in the anti-woke movement that you may not be so familiar with is Vivek Ramaswamy. He wrote Woke, Inc.. This past year he started an asset management firm called Strive. Strive creates opportunities for investors to “invest in the stock market without mixing business with politics”. The old Milton Freedman idea that “There is one and only one social responsibility of business—to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase its profits.”  Strive launched an ETF called “DRLL” which exclusively invests in US energy. It’s a vehicle for investors to counter the fossil fuel divestment campaigns. Strive wrote a powerful letter to the Chevron board suggesting that they pursue a “post-ESG” mandate. In other words, instead of kowtowing to environmental activists like Larry Fink, they focus on selling oil and gas and making money for their shareholders.

  1. Heard him interviewed by Gregory Mankiw. He has “drawn his sword, and thrown away the scabbard “ to battle this vicious ideology. He has made hundreds of millions of dollars, and is risking it to put and end to wokeism. He has more courage by far than the Conservative and Republican parties put together.

      1. You mean, the Ross Perot who got Clinton elected? He joined forces with the left, which, of course requires no courage at all. Perot is an example of a scoundrel, or a lunatic, not a hero.

        1. Mr Ramaswamy is right on the mark. We need more intelligent thinkers like him to speak loudly before we all go bankrupt, freeze in the dark, or both. “He is writing and speaking against stakeholder capitalism, big tech censorship, and critical race theory” sounds like a hat trick.
His book, Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam, debuted at #2 on The New York Times bestseller list! How embarrassing for the NYT. And he appears to be almost untouchable, based on his successes.
