Vaccination and boosters are critical but so are common sense precautions like masking when indoors or among crowds and staying home if you don’t feel well. Also, get tested before getting together, and get treated quickly if you test positive. We want everyone to have a happy and – most of all – healthy holiday.”

It’s impossible to talk about without people screaming raaaaaacism, but Indian culture is clannish, low-trust, and absolutely caste-bound. The higher castes believe they’re superior to the lower castes in every way, and anyone in a lower caste is practically subhuman. And although they adopt the superficial trappings of Western society, those cultural assumptions never change. The vast majority of Indians in North America are first or second generation immigrants. Indians from the UK are often better assimilated because they’ve been there for multiple generations.
