Netflix recently released an eight-part documentary series titled Ancient Apocalypse, where Graham Hancock (who has a been a household name for “alternative archeology” since the release of his book ‘Fingerprints of the Gods’ in 1995), introduces us to his central theory that human civilisation is considerably older than current archeological orthodoxy believes, but that most evidence for this was wiped out by a colossal natural disaster around 12,000 years ago.
He supports this theory with physical evidence for such a natural disaster, curious geological anomalies and seemingly ancient megalithic structures. […]

For this accusation to be true, the people the critic wishes to protect from scrutiny would not be “indigenous”….would they? So, I would agree with the critic, McKie to some extent. If the currently labeled “indigenous” people(s) are not the originating race…they are not indigenous…and those who were the originating race are being stripped of their indigenous status.
Or you could take the common sense approach to this “I was first” mentality and say…’who the hell gives a flying eff who was here first?’
Better yet…let’s apply this “I was here before you” mentality to migrants. I assume this means the more recent your arrival to the US or Canada, the less important and culturally relevant you are. Yes?
Yah they hate that Whitemen created the Metis, or that there is documented artifacts of the Vikings from the Canadian High Arctic that Predate the present day Inuit. The Inuit are very recent Immigrants coming after the White European Vikings.
In fact the Inukshuks are probably Viking navigational way points.
You also learn a lot if you study flintknapping. Clovis came after the European Solutrean technology in North America, or the fact that most of the east coast Natives have White DNA.

The thing is that the history of the world is one of displacement. From one environment to another. From one genera to another. From one species to another. From one culture to another. One either adapts or evolves to live or one is extinguished. Who you were yesterday is gone. Who you are today allows you to be here tomorrow. Live in the past, die today with yesterday’s baggage.
Maybe we view our past improperly. It’s a kick in the ego to suggest that our current world is not the best ever most advanced most wonderful of any that have come before. Funny, our particular sub species has been around at least 100,000 years, and the progenitor sub-species that ours seems to have interbred with frequently were around many times more than that. In a thinly populated world with abundant resources you can do an awful lot for a very long time, and yet leave nearly no trace thousands of years later. No need to mine metals, no need to build giant stone edifices. No need for writing, or writing on things that would last eternity.Without even going that far back in history, it’s only in the past decade or two that LIDAR has shown that huge parts of the Amazon basin were carefully planted and nurtured sustainable farmland just 500 years ago that supported millions. We have no way of knowing how long they thrived, but the Amazon area was probably a decent place to live in during the Ice Age, which lasted over 100,000 years. At around the same time (>12K years ago), at a similar latitude, what is now the Sahara was lush grassland, easily capable of supporting a large hunter-gatherer/proto-farming population. Central Asia probably had a similar climate and environment. We have no idea how good or bad life was for the people of that time, what they knew, or believed, or could do. They didn’t leave us even as much as Ozymandias. And why should they have?

Think of the amount of trash human being generate. The more advanced, the more trash. From the highest mountain to the deepest part of the ocean, on Mars and the moon, there is SOMETHING left behind.
If any of this ancient tabloid history crap were true, there’d be a lot more evidence.

Someday these guys will be vindicated…hope I’m around to see it happen.
Any advanced precursor civilizations are under a lot of seawater way out on the edges of the continental shelves. and silted over by continental runoff. We’re not going to find anything looking in Tennessee. We’re not going to find any cell phones they may have dropped and any cell towers they built have long since corroded away. Am I right? Am I wrong? Who knows?
Where are the bulk of heavy population centers now? On the coasts, of course, and they are generally the oldest cities. Where were the major population centers way back when? On what were then the coasts, of course.
We don’t know jack about very, very ancient civilizations and their technologies because we’re looking in the wrong places. I certainly don’t know, but I know where I’d look and it ain’t Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Graham Hancock is just speculating. I’d take it all as entertainment. Good fun. Your guess is as good as his. Go ahead and make stuff up. You could be right.
P.S. There are some archeologists (heretics!) who were ahead of me in this thinking and are trying to look in the right places. They are not getting much support from establishment archeologists. No surprise there.

This is the crux of the matter. The establishment doesn’t want us “questioning” the approved narrative on anything. That is where their power comes from. The second the crowd laughs at the emperor for not wearing clothes, the illusion is shattered and so is the control.
