It’s a “done deal.”
Congressional sources tell The Dossier that there is a strong enough appetite in Congress, given the unanimously pro-war Democratic voting bloc, and the significant amount of Republicans who support the perpetual funding of the Zelensky government in Ukraine, to pass a bill by the end of next week that will deliver tens of billions of dollars into Kiev’s coffers.

For the most part, what this will mean is a lot more of this: https://twitter.com/julianroepcke/status/1513903241431506945
Ukraine needs to be emptied of fighting age males so that Europe can start sending in their unwanted migrant populations.
If you can’t make a tiktok dance video about it, it just isn’t very tragic.
The grift of the century follows the crime of the century
Basically, the Ukraine is bankrupt, without hope of ever paying back a cent of this money. And Zelensky has the gall to complain if we ever question the effectiveness of the gravy train.
Which is why I believe that if the Ukrainians want our weapons, they should be made to pay for them, up front. No money, no weapons. There is no valid reason to just give them our stuff, especially the modern weaponry that is already in short supply. And more than that, there is no reason at all that we should be paying their soldiers and bureaucrats. If they can’t pay their soldiers and bureaucrats, then maybe they should be looking for a way out of the mess they are in.
Taking money from the productive and useful, and setting 90% of it on fire
good plan
U S Arms Sent to Ukraine Make Their Way to Boko Haram
When the U.S. sends nearly unlimited arms willy-nilly to Ukraine with little or no oversight, no one should be surprised when some of that weaponry enters the black market and makes its way to various bad guys and scumbags around the world.
Finland’s National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said it has received preliminary information that criminals in Finland might have captured military arms, such as assault rifles, meant for Ukrainian forces.
“Weapons shipped [by various countries] to Ukraine have also been found in Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands,” NBI Detective Superintendent Christer Ahlgren told Yle. …

Well Alan, that’s just BULLschiff, Because the colon said that that isn’t hppening.
Yet nowhere does he say it is gear meant for Ukraine. All he says is the Ukraine Russia war.
Russia is far more corrupt than Ukraine.
Excellent! Of course the Putin apologists will try to spin this as billions of cash going to Ukraine when in reality it is mostly outdated military gear with a dollar value attached.
Related and also excellent:

“The latest barrage of strikes also came as Russian state media reported explosions at two air fields in Russia.
State-owned news agency TASS reported an explosion in an aircraft parking lot at an airfield near Ryazan, a city located about 115 miles southeast of Moscow.”
Sending suicide drones hundreds of km into the state that is waging unjust war is somehow “terrorism” according to the orc propagandists.
What have they been doing since 2014?
They’re beyond parody.
// spin this as billions of cash going to Ukraine when in reality it is mostly outdated military gear with a dollar value attached. //
And often it is cheaper to give the stuff away than to store & decommission it. Which is why American police forces are so well armed.
Since they aren’t paying us for anything they get, we would in fact see a better return on the expense of building all that stuff if it were scrapped and turned into pop cans and razor blades.
I was thinking of this analysis: https://archive.ph/O2ySA
excerpt:
A stockpile that’s about to expire may be more valuable to you as a gift than as a likely disposal liability. This is also why a lot of police departments now have War on Terror armored vehicles.
Importantly – and key in the case of Ukraine – it means that ammunition can be more valuable to us when used in the pursuit of our national interest (versus Russian forces) than as either training or stockpile. Purchasing arms for Ukraine may have a higher ROI than for ourselves.
Excellent news and a spectacular return on investment. Helping the righteous defend their homes while crippling your own mortal enemy without a single loss of own life. The only way to make it better is to help more and remove any and all range restrictions on delivered weapons.
You might have had a point fourty or so years ago.
Your orc’s aren’t my orc’s.
It’s all about the money , and staying unaccountable no matter what it costs.
The orcs are orcs because orcs haven’t changed since Mongol Empire bought civilization (such as it was) to them. Discussions about money are not even secondary, they’re orc psyops.
The US has thus far spent equivalent of less than 6% of its military budget to cripple and quite possibly terminate one its worst enemies.
This goes beyond just peace on the eastern front. Putin/Russian pressure is the big reason why Uzbekistan and the other stan neighbors of Afghanistan wouldn’t let Americans resupply through their countries, so America had to resupply through Pak, which used that opportunity to be extremely nefarious. Between the Iranian regime probably getting topped and the stans getting out from Russia’s thumb we can get the beachheads we need for a reinvasion.
