YOU SAY MARTIAL LAW LIKE IT’S A BAD THING

“Obviously, everyone in China should be allowed to express themselves,
should be allowed to share their perspectives and indeed, protest,”
      Trudeau said on Tuesday.”

      WAIT A MINUTE…

“The elderly woman injured when police on horseback rode through
a crowd of Freedom Convoy protesters
      has been identified as Candice
“Candy” Sero, a full-blood Mohawk woman who lives in Tyendinaga
Mohawk Territory in Hastings County, Ontario.”

    1. As did we in southern Alberta.

We also had a brief brush w/ cold & snow recently, one of our world famous Chinook winds blew in & on Friday I went for a ride on the Hawg w/ a buddy. High was around 52°F, low was 40-ish.

There’s been more than one year I’ve ridden every month of the year and I’ve ridden on Christmas Day a handful of times. There’s also been winters the bike never got fired up for months at a time.

      It’s called “weather”.

      1. Exactly right. About 15 years ago we had a winter in Colorado when there was just about no snow, and that was at 7,800′ altitude. Coming out of March it was so dry that I anticipated a horrific fire season, but in April it rained nearly every day, and it wasn’t dry any longer. We also had a winter storm one year when 4′ of snow fell in a single blizzard. That’ll get your attention.

Nature is dynamic, and the exceptional is ordinary.

    1. lmao….and for that $100 charge he will achieve a paltry ~170miles…and have to stop to charge if he can even find a station….then sit there for over 2 hrs to go another 170 mils: What an UTTER MORON. $100,000 USD..eh..??

My 06 D’max used with 50k kms Paid $38,995 CAD
      $ ~ $140 CAD in diesel fuel I will achieve: 300 kms….at 120 kmhr.

      no contest….not even close.

Recently bought 2 ea Odyssey Extreme AGM 34/78 Batts – good to -40 with 850CCA and 140A hrs Deep Cycle reserve capacity: $1179.00 CAD and never have to worry bout boosting it ever. Added Webasto TSL-17 coolant heater as well – running w/12 litres full synthetic oil.

I call that “peace of mind”…and Laff at the utter absurdity of EV’s

      1. The other great feature you have is you can always setup a relatively simple system at home to manufacture your own biodiesel. Big win.

  1. Karine Jean-Pierre: “We’re Keeping An Eye On” Elon Musk’s Twitter Takeover

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2022/11/28/karine_jean-pierre_were_keeping_an_eye_on_elon_musks_twitter_takeover.html

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says the White House is “monitoring” Elon Musk’s radical reforms of Twitter.

Good. Now shut it down. Elon Musk is nuts! By allowing rightwingers on Twitter, he is promoting HATE. That’s NOT progressive.

    1. By allowing PP on this site Kate is promoting? Free speech, a forum to expose sane people to the mental gymnastics of progressives? Comic relief to start the day. PP, we love you.

    1. Food banks certainly do not increase the food supply and when used by people who really do not need them and are scamming the system, it really does happen, those who cannot supply themselves with necessary foods are the losers. As a Salvationist in the past, I witnessed it many times.

    1. The problem is these luxury cars are over-priced. Pick one up (as I did in 2009) and they don’t go back to their previous value. A depreciation / bubble trap.

      1. Especially as transportation. Talked to a fellow a couple weeks ago who was driving a very clean 2009 Toyota Highlander. He advised that he’d worn out two (2) Mercedes S-class sedans in the time that he’d owned the Highlander, and it was the only one still going strong.

  2. Just had a call from the “Covid Centre”, telling me that my 97yo mother has tested positive (she is in a retirement home). They wanted me to approve treatment with Paxlovid, I suggested they use something effective like Ivermectin. The conversation went rapidly downhill after that.

I told the lady I had lost all trust and faith in the “health” system.

    1. Serious situation though it is, your response brought a smile to m face. Let us know how your mother does.

      1. Thank you for the kind wishes.

I checked on the “Covid Centre” and it is part of Grand River Hospital in Kitchener. I also looked into Paxlovid and found that it is an EUA drug from Pfizer, with a whole list of adverse effects. I am sticking with my refusal to authorise it for my dear old mum.

I am also getting all sorts of messages from the retirement home saying she is refusing medication – she may be 97, but she ain’t stupid. Truth is: she is bloody miserable. Imagine living in an environment where she has not been allowed to see anyone smile for almost three years, to be treated more like a piece of toxic waste than a real person (who is paying over $5k/month to live there).

This experience has cured me of considering a retirement home when my time comes, it isn’t living, it is merely existing.

I don’t know how much longer she will hang on, I am sure she has all but lost the will to live, and who can blame her? Sadly bringing her home to our place isn’t really an option, she requires round-the-clock care for all her needs: dressing, bathroom, eating etc. She cannot be left alone for more than a few minutes, it breaks my heart but I cannot see any alternative.

    2. And rightfully so. My 87 year old mother has had Covid twice, and ridden it out sitting home in front of the wood stove. She’s the healthiest person I know, and insisted from Day One of the Faucidemic that the MRNA vaccines are the devil’s work.

  3. (Toronto) Children’s Hospital Explores Euthanasia Without Parental Consent
    https://www.frontpagemag.com/childrens-hospital-explores-euthanasia-without-parental-consent/

In a prestigious medical journal, doctors from Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children have laid out policies and procedures for administering medically assisted death to children, including scenarios where the parents would not be informed until after the child dies.
The article appears just three months before the Canadian Council of Academies is due to report to Parliament on the medical consensus about extending voluntary euthanasia in circumstances currently forbidden by law. The Canadian Council of Academies is specifically looking at extending so-called assisted dying to patients under 18, psychiatric patients and patients who have expressed a preference for euthanasia before they were rendered incapable by Alzheimer’s or some other disease.”

What? Don’t they include those who disagree with Shiny Pony for execution Medical Assistance in Dying?

    1. But it you listened to the CBC every day you would know that not to love Dear Leader is to prove you are an enemy of the post-national state!

      1. So be it. The line forms behind me. Dear Leader, and his entire cadre of {spit} Prog idiots, supporters, MSM, etc., etc., etc. (BIRM), can KMHUA…
