  1. Why would you want to create anything when others will just copy and paste what you’ve done?

Current laws make anything you do in Canada illegal and subject to heavy fines for any infractions.

  2. The Modern Way to Sterilize our Youth is to convince them they are Transgender. The puberty blockers, hormone treatments, and surgery will leave them sterilized eunuchs incapable of sexual function or sexual satisfaction, much less procreation.

  3. “It is equally erroneous to assume that eugenicists were ideological troglodytes—Ku Klux Klansmen in tuxedos, so to speak. ”

    Does anyone find that erroneous?

    1. Not me.
Eugenics is used all the time in the agri sector, breeding for desirable traits.
This works fine for some purposes, but the fact is most of the traits we find desirable would not be selected for by natural selection.

      1. The above is not eugenics as eugenics refers to breeding the “perfect” human, something tyrants and their “experts” tried with tragic results.

    2. I’m not sure that Margaret Sanger, hero of progressives everywhere, founder of planned parenthood, ever wore a tuxedo.

  4. The very idea that humans can guide our own evolution is purest folly.
At best, we can interfere with it a little bit.
Evolution is a 4 billion year old game, and it hasn’t stopped, it definitely won’t stop with us.
Trying to control it is like trying control the Earth’s climate, an exercise in futility that will only lead to widespread misery and woe.

  5. “American eugenics was a powerful inspiration for the Nazi government,” which became a defense argument at the Nuremberg war trials — and “they weren’t entirely incorrect in that.”

They sure weren’t. Buck vs. Bell always comes to mind. A case the much venerated Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote a decision on allowing states to order compulsory sterilization.
Not to mention the defense’s argument during the Nuremberg trials that medical experiments performed by Nazi doctors on POW’s and others was no different than the U.S. medical community using prisoners in correctional institutions as guinea pigs for experimental vaccines.
Betcha prosecutors didn’t see that one coming.

Eugenics was hard science run amok, untempered by skepticism and profoundly intolerant of dissenting viewpoints.
That should be tattooed on the ass of every health care professional.

  6. And he’s the father of modern socialized health care.

Without Tommy, whatever would our modern day politicians use to bore and tax us death.

      1. Well, they (CBC) might say that for public consumption, but they all face Outremont in the morning and give thanks to the sacred bleeding heart of St. Turdo.

  7. Eugenics is the opposite of the biblical perspective as stated by Paul in the second chapter of Philippians:

    Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves;

The biblical position is difficult to practice. It’s opposite is human nature unredeemed. When we go down the path of reducing the value of people, it is not a distant step to treating them as “other” and “worthless”. That is why “hate” is deemed as murder by Christ in the Sermon on the Mount because its logical conclusion is the thought put into action.

Yes, I have a long way to go.

  8. Applied eugenics is pure collectivism as it subjugates humanity into the scientific equivalent of plants and animals. Communism is man in the capacity of ants. Eugenics results in the compulsory management of humanity as such. The west was crawling with progressives who considered themselves eugenicists in the 1930s. I know of several in my my family alone who were. Nazi Germany in the early 30s was seen as noble experiment to such folks. A decade later, not so much.

  9. Why do socialists have such a fascination/desire for eugenics?

    – American and Canadian socialists of the 30s
    – Hitler and the Nazis (German National SOCIALIST Workers Party)
    – Soviets
    – Maoists

    1. Why do socialists have such a fascination/desire for eugenics?

When you believe that humanity is a herd as opposed to individuals in a social setting, and that your beloved socialism is the “management” of the human herd, you usually gravitate to the “scientific” management of the herd. You breed out all the characteristics that you consider undesirable and breed in the desirable ones. Under socialism, individual rights are either non-existent or always subservient to the collective and so the state (representing the leadership with the monopoly on the use of force) compels conformance. This usually leads to mass murder or something as morally repugnant and equivalent. And, the next wave of idealistic socialists claims that the previous mass murderers didn’t do it right….ad infinitum.

    1. Buddy,
      Nice.
I had to look up the definition if Epsilon.
“ Epsilon is the fifth letter in the Greek alphabetic system, which is preceded by delta and followed by zeta letters. The sign represents a variable, like the symbols x, n, and T. In math and science, it may be used to denote an arbitrarily small quantity, like an error, or a value that can be taken as zero in some limit.”

      1. Isn’t there a song about that? “Epsilon, a female lawn, h’ray, a drop of golden scum”, something like that?

  10. Need eugenics lead to Nazi death camps?

Biological reality and the denial thereof seems to be a hallmark of the progressive left. From race realism to tranny surgery to the natural differences between men and women…it’s the left that is haywire.

In other words…eugenics isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
