  1. If we had an opposition party down here in the States it could score some good points here. One of the pipelines that Xiden wanted to kill connects to the Seneca pipeline which delivers to United Refining in Warren, PA – which makes the heating fuel that Buffalo needs. I used to make my living hauling it up there- a job that had some exciting moments. I am sick and tired of our Democrat party never getting called out for their mistakes.

        1. Or an electric State or city snow plow, this whole electro-fallacy is a scam. They have zero intention of providing enough cars, pickup trucks, snow plows , semi trucks etc to replace those that are already on the road. Those who have a significant status in the great reset of social credit or whose mobility is considered necessary to the new globalist society will be allowed the privilege of access to an electric vehicle. This will not constitute ownership of said vehicle but only approved access for authorized distances and time period. If they have not started doubling or tripling the power grid by now they could not even pretend to eradicate fossil fuel usage for the above mentioned transportation requirements. Those of us heating our homes with natural gas or oil or even electricity will be freezing in the dark or sweltering in the summer without A/C.

    3. Until 3-1/2 Years ago my husband and I lived in western NY for 30 years. (He lived there his whole life until then.) Western NY, on the whole, is fairly conservative (as are most areas of NY outside the cities — I seriously wonder whether Led Seldom actually won his race). Wokeness is not appreciated by many. Nor woke policies. The problem is the idiot governor, and corruption also in the legislature.

      Hamburg is right on the edge of Lake Erie. It and all the Buffalo southtowns get a LOT of lake-effect snow every year, the more so early in winter before the lake freezes over. Yes, some of the Great Lakes freeze over.) And periodically yhe area gets really excessive amounts. While this storm is one of those times I doubt that it is surprising anybody in Erie (or Niagara) County.

All fine and good to be upright and moralistic in your beliefs when oil and its derivatives deliver an abundant life style but things change dramatically when Mother Nature delivers one of her life lessons. This could prove to be one of the great moments in history, the new awakening if you will, when the realization dawns on the masses that they are being lied to and led like sheep or in another way it could be a new beginning where they finally succumb to their ignorance.

    As the cold, late-autumn wind passes above the warm water of the lakes, it gathers moisture and energy to create water-laden clouds. Once those lake-effect clouds meet land, they release all that moisture, usually in the form of heavy snowfall.
    “So the greater the difference between the air temperature and the water temperature, the more impactful, the more potent and the more lethal the storms will be,” Phillips said.

    The other key ingredient in the formation of lake-effect snow is the distance wind travels over a warm lake, a factor known as “fetch.” The cold winds usually associated with lake-effect snow tend to come from the west and northwest, Phillips said. The more time those winds spend over warm bodies of water like Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, the more moisture they pull.

    “If the winds go over the largest fetch of water, then there’s more time for that cold air to moderate and pick up the cargoes of moisture that are available to it, just like a sponge over a wet surface,” Phillips said.

    Better up the carbon tax or we will have another one eight years from now.
