    1. Would have been nice if he had given that speech, you know, BEFORE he retired?
But I guess if he hadda done that, he woulda been found guilty of sexual harassment.

      1. Well he did retire quite a few years back, and some of the issues weren’t such a problem then.

  1. Let’s train and arm the 500 000 immigrants a year for a couple years?
A million heavily armed foreigners from diverse African and middle eastern counties!

  2. Well, what does a post national country need a military for, when it can ride off the coattails of the US, and continue to deploy Trudeau’s Flaccid Power around the world?

    1. Why shouldn’t Canada ride the US’s coattails? They rode ours (and Britain’s) in WW1 and WW2, until the US was attacked or perceived it to be in the US interest to declare war. And I’m glad they did. It’s the only reason we’re not singing Deutschlandleid.

No country is going to cross an ocean to invade Canada. The US could invade, so how big would our forces have to be to defend against the US?

China won’t invade. They’re getting what they want by co-opting politicians.

If your point is we should have a bigger military, I agree. But to defend Canada from attack? We can’t afford it. We have no money.

      1. my point is that the government, in the interests of proving how good soft power is, will send ill equipped and trained troops into situations that they are not ready for. Morale is low, and it’s not going to get any better any time soon, especially if they prioritize “diversity” over competence, HQ is a bloated mess, and the government is telling the 2 biggest cohorts of potential recruits that they aren’t wanted

      2. Until the USA showed up to those two world wars….Britain, its whole Commonwealth and its allies could only hope to not lose. The USA literally supplied the USSR with food, fuel, war materiel, planes, trucks, tanks and mundane things like medicines, blankets and boots throughout the whole war–without it (source: https://share.america.gov/america-sent-equipment-to-soviet-union-in-world-war-ii/), the USSR would’ve folded which would’ve led to the capitulation of Britain.

Without the US in WW1 and WW2, the Allies would have lost.
But after Pearl Harbour, if Hitler had not declared war on the US, it might have been difficult for the US to declare war on Germany.

  3. If only they offered vets free euthanasia service after their tours of duty, that would fix recruitment.
When they fail to get killed with dignity fighting, we can kill them with dignity ourselves!

  4. Might be a real good time for the military to rethink its mission:

I can’t imagine this was anything other than an accident, considering Russia spent all afternoon launching up to 100 missiles at Ukraine’s infrastructure, but at the very least I expect Poland, surrounded by its NATO allies, to demand a very thorough explanation for this, and a couple’a Russian heads to roll. There are suggestions that Russia did it deliberately as a test-provocation; if so, they definitely will ensure at the very least that that European aid keeps flowing to Ukraine. It’d also be kind of nice if Lukashenko declares that Belarus was completely unaware of this and had nothing to do with it, and the Belarus-Russia alliance starts making splintering noises – but I ain’t holding my breath on that last one.

    1. Don’t worry, the CIA has been “rethinking” this for a long time. Why do you think they planned this so-called “missile attack”?

Next on their agenda is the dirty nuke.

Don’t tell me you believe everything the corporate media says. Joe Biden, most votes in the history of US elections? Fatterneck Frankenstein, top debater of the Senate?

    2. I don’t know who’s missiles fell on Poland. Could be Russian missiles. Could be Ukrainian air defence missiles. Could be a Russian missile was damaged by anti-aircraft/missile weaponry which only affected the missiles’ trajectories.

Fog of war until the Poles release more information.

Do the Poles/US/NATO know now? Probably, given all the AWACS type aircraft flying just outside Ukraine, all the ground based radar surrounding Ukraine that is monitoring Ukrainian airspace, and satellites monitoring from space.

However, they’ll probably stay mum on this aspect to reduce the amount of info going to the Russians

      1. Joe
The brit and USA special ops that are mercs over there, prolly just F*cked up, special ops are NOT good at standard warfare.

        1. WTF do special forces have to do with S300s or cruise missiles?
Never mind it is you, the answer will be usual stupid.

          1. unCOLON
Try reading some real news for once, your psycho emotional babble is worst then what comes out of a bull ‘s ass, the Ukes never sunk tha Russian war ship, there a lot of other things they didn’t do, Mercs are doing them, and there have been X Brits SF(Mercs) killed over there, try keeping up, and quit your emotional woman shtick!

    3. At this stage it is not clear whose missile it was. Several sources mention S300 which could be Ukrainian used for air defense or Siberian Mongol used in ground attack role. It really does not matter. Siberians are at fault for attacking Ukraine and need to neutered. There will some collateral damage to others. Given the volume of fire, something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. Article 4 will probably be invoked and that will be that.

Lukashenko has been very diligently giving all his weapons to Pootin only to declare right after that he now has no weapons to use and cannot invade Ukraine. He is doing everything to avoid direct involvement while staying in Pootin’s good graces. Smart play on his side.

      1. Other sources now suggesting it was Kh-101 which makes it Siberian. Either way probably not deliberate.

  5. The CAF is full of white nationalists, aka white men willing to fight and die for their nation.
What we need are diverse post-nationalists, displaced people willing to fight and die for the WEF and other globalist agendas.
…and they’re not even trying to hide it anymore, but Canadians are still too stupid to see it.

  6. You don’t need an army to sell out a “Post Nationalist State”, you need a large militarized Federal Police Force with International like-minded partnerships and of course a disarmed citizenry to maintain “Order”.

  7. Years ago, my brother was the CO of one of the recruiting centres. They were all called down to the puzzle palace at DND HQ in Ottawa. They were told that while the entrance exams to the military weren’t going to be changed, the “pass” mark for francophones was lowered. One of the CO’s asked why is that…..they were told “cultural differences and that’s all you need to know”. My brother retired shortly thereafter. He told me that the Canadian military was SO top heavy it was an embarrassment….but the military had to promote francophones to reach some mythical target that was set.

    1. That crap was just getting started when my dad retired from the military, and that was over 50 years ago. It’s much worse now because they have other cohorts to pander to besides the Québécois. Pretty sure some of the former and current military people commenting at SDA have plenty of stories.

    2. Well, francophones are at the top of the ethnic hierarchy of our multi ethnc Nationalist Socialist Government.

“Bilingualism”… should’ve been called, the french act. It is institutional bigotry that benefits one group of people, french speakers.
      Just as it was designed.

  8. They don’t need a military— they’ve got Melanie Joly’s secret special convening powers to resolve all conflict.

  9. Hillier has some nerve. He’s was part of the decay and oversaw the decline. Sure we fought on Afghanistan but it cost the army everything. And when we be home was saw just how much the country could care less. They have that terrorist more than any vet and sold Afghanistan down the river. Why would anyone join for a country that doesn’t care?

  10. Why are we still part of this failed Con Federation?
These fools are too stupid to even understand why a nation needs to have an army.
If Can Ahh Duh cannot enforce our territorial claims, they do not serve the citizenry.

Imagine when Russia and China start mining resources in the Canadian Arctic..
Which will then become the Russian-Chinese Arctic..
Because we can do nothing but whine and cry..
The natural talents of our Progressive Comrades.
Of course under the current management,of our Uni-Party scum, the extraction of these resources will not even be detected.

  11. Its good to see Canada preparing if it ever encounters the Wagner group. They can dictate to them about being inclusive while they crushed that guys head with a sledgehammer for defecting to Ukraine.

  12. I don’t think Canada attracts the sort of economic migrant that wants to sit in a mud hole with a rusty rifle in their hands.. Would you travel halfway around the world to a place that openly gives their best jobs to people like YOU and settle for a job in the military..
