I worry about Trump’s ego and the possibility of his running as a third-party candidate. Trump did teach the conservative elites two key things:
— that Republicans should support the working class, and that non-white Americsns are a key component of the working class;
— that grassroots, outdoor demonstrations count for a lot, and that Republicans should fight the ruling establishment outdoors, and not so much by hiding in corporate offices.
So Republicans (and the Conservative party in Canada and Britain) should keep these two fundamental reforms in mind. They shoild move on from Trump.
