If Saskatchewan can’t get out of a carbon tax, it looks like it’s going to try to reduce that overall carbon tax burden. The throne speech indicates that carbon offset credits from zero till farming will be available to lower other industries’ carbon tax burden.

Link no workie.
Fixed. Thanks.
Looks like agriculture will be Justines sacrificial lamb in his effort to ingratiate himself with King Klaus!
Well, those third world peasants don’t need to eat in WEF world do they?
Still wasting our hard earned cash and life savings on wind and solar. Why not pay 16 bucks for an orange juice when the going rate is 4?
The Liberal Saskatchewan Party still has a lot of growing up to do. And refuting the scam of climate change should be job number 1.
Both Alberta and Saskatchewan need to start giving climate grants to scientists that do research that demonstrates the actual effects of co2 (minimal). They’ll get the msg. Then enjoy the shrieks of libs.
No….it would be best to simply ignore every thing feds say. Just like the “science” behind the COVID “vaccines”, the left are simply deaf.
Just ignore the feds completely. Farm as usual. Cut off the food supply and the oil and gas to Eastern Canada and tell them to pound sand.
Exactly
Or impose a “carbon tax” on all oil and gas leaving Alberta and Saskatchewan.
(polite applause)
Not good enough. The Sask Party is going liberal lite. The Sask party has a mission and that is to try and change our relation with the feds or separation will result. It may anyway as we are rich in resources and Quebec covered theirs with water and trillions of dollars are unavailable. Stupid idea. Manitoba did the same. We should use the uranium that we have to power ourselves into the future.
I wish we had stronger politicians. Smith in AB is at least talking like a real conservative. I wish Moe would just say, ‘no, we’re not charging our power/natural gas customers a carbon tax. And no, we’re not adding a new tax on gas and diesel.’
“Saskatchewan would continue to press for greater provincial control over immigration, as has long been guaranteed to Quebec.”
Sask needs to think global and act local.
To minimize net global climate change emissions, Sask must give priority to immigrants from countries whose per capita GHG emissions are roughly equal to or higher than ours.
Sooooo….India and China then?
How would that be different from the current federal immigration policy?
China is well below Canada and India is near the bottom of the GHG list
enough!!!!!!
man made climate change is Bull Zit
The Province should also offer offset carbon credits for all the small towns and rural municpalities that have dirt roads instead of pavement. They did not use asphalt that emits hydrocarbons into the atmosphere.
SK lost it’s carbon tax challenge. They are now just dealing with that reality through the back door. Good for them.
Alberta has more wind power and solar than any province. I just made a pass through east central AB. There is a new facility near Jenner that has a 1/4 section (160 acres) covered with solar panels. Wind towers are going up everywhere. It’s really quite remarkable.
It begs the question: Why do they Hate us so…ha
There has to been a breaking point regarding this CO2 garbage where we say enough, and we’re not going to follow this lie anymore.
