BBC- Fuel protests gripping more than 90 countries
A third were countries which had no protests at all over fuel in 2021. For example, Spain had none in 2021, but saw 335 individual rallies just in March this year.
In Indonesia there have been more than 600 protests over petrol so far this year compared to just 19 in 2021. In Italy, there were over 200 in the first eight months of 2022 compared to just two last year. And in Ecuador, there were over 1,000 protests over fuel in the month of June alone.
Most surprising to Henry Wilkinson, the chief intelligence officer from Dragonfly, a security and intelligence service, is where the protests are occurring.
Okay fuel is a problem but at least the world still has lots of food…
You can sure tell how well banning fossil fuels is going to go over. The only possible solution to the make-believe CO2 crisis is – “Get over it.” Leaders who disturb the flow of fuels to the people will likely get the Mussolini lamp post treatment.

Not long ago Quebec fruitcake politicians (including Trudeau) blocked fuel from the west for transit or terminal. This was based on faith in the Global Warming religion, and natural obstructiveness. Trudeau is such a prat. He doesn’t want a pipeline crossing his precious Quebec because it will pitch him against the premiere Legault, who has appealed more and more to separatist sentiment in order to maintain control of the province.
As I say, Trudeau, put the pipeline in the St. Lawrence, that is federal jurisdiction.

If heat, fuel electricity are hit hard this year and food shortages hit hard next year then surely the voting public will finally understand the importance of prioritizing policies that ensure reliable and affordable food and energy. Voters need to throw out politicians who fail to secure essential products at reasonable prices. Hunger and being cold should help focus the mind on reality instead of buying into idealistic fantasies that have been promised by charlatans for years (decades?).
Pretty sure we’re self reliant enough to stay warm and well fed in our rural area. Lots of livestock, productive land and wild game to sustain the local population. I would be more worried if l lived in a big city. I doubt if they have the resources or the temperament to help each other out if things get really bad. If the last couple years proved anything it’s that politicians will only look out for their own self interest.
