Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Kanye should save his money. Parler ain’t as advertised. I used to be on it and it’s just as bad as Twatter; especially after John Matze was turfed.
If Musk buys Twitter, it won’t help the value of either of the other two.
Hmm, freedom of speech, what a concept.
I don’t trust Musk.
It doesn’t matter as long he is fighting against other people you don’t trust.
Edward
That’s OK, as I don’t trust bible thumpers, and I have the receipts!
I don’t either … however … people who know Christ, and Love God are at least as trustworthy as the atheists
People who place themselves above God, or Nature, or whatever ya wanna call it, are a clear and present danger to the rest of us.
The hubris of some atheists is far beyond the pale, take Schwab and his acolytes here, like Colon and UnMe.
The enemy of my enemy is my frenemy.
What does that make the frenemy of my enemy? or the frenemy of my frenemy?
The unholy triumvirate of co-opitition. Works for me.
These new venues Parler, Gettr, Truthsocial, Rumble, Locals [bought by rumble] are safe spaces for those whose opinions
have gotten them kicked from the major platforms or who just want to say what they really think among the like-minded.
From an article on Rumble/Locals:
// Carl Benjamin had this problem where he couldn’t stop using racial slurs.
On his Patreon page, Benjamin brought on neo-Nazi Richard Spencer, said he doesn’t “give a shit” about the holocaust, and was calling everyone who he didn’t particularly like a “faggot” or deploying the n-word with aplomb.
Patreon, for their part, decided to bump Benjamin off the platform, where he had been earning $12,000 a month (must be nice!)
Naturally, the Free Speech Gang — meat philosopher Jordan B Peterson, faux liberal Dave Rubin, insufferable atheist Sam Harris — lined up to quit Patreon. If this platform is to decide who they want on their platform, they proclaimed, then there is no real free speech.
[…]
Those deep thinkers decamped to a platform of Rubin’s own making: One where you are free to fleece your legion of fans who just need to hear racial slurs in order to feel free: Locals.com.
[…]
Founded in 2019, Locals has never grown beyond a rump of weirdos and nobodies. When they were bought by far-right Toronto-based Youtube-clone Rumble in 2021, the press release brags(?) that their influencers include names you recognize that make you go “oh, no” like Scott Adams, Greg Gutfeld, and Tulsi Gabbard but, moreso, names that make you go “who the hell?” like ZDoggMD, Max Lugavere, Robert Barnes, Bridget Phetasy, Dr. Drew, Karlyn Borysenko, and Michael Malice.
There’s one name they didn’t boast about: Danielle Smith, the new premier of Alberta. //

Twitter doesn’t fit in that picture, but I suppose people are pinning their hopes on Musk.
Well, you have made your position concerning freedom of speech very, very clear.
Funny, you don’t mention a single instance of anti-white racism.
Tried to join Truth Social for the past few months now.
It keeps saying “Registrations closed, Truth Social will be accepting new web application users soon!”
I thought it might be my ad blockers, but it wasn’t.
Yet others don’t seem to be having this problem. I don’t know.
i got that too.
I don’t know… part of me sort of wishes that all social platforms would just go down completely. The world made more sense before people spent 25 hours a day staring at screens. Back in the day when kids used their imaginations to play outside, when families went for a Sunday drives to the park/beach/grandparents grave to pay respect and water the flowers, and it was acceptable to stop in on friends for coffee unannounced just because you were in the neighbourhood. I saved more money in the days before Amazon and could live happier with much less when people didn’t post all their “stuff” online to be compared to. Technology might be faster to “bring people closer together” in some sense, but I feel like facetime/skype/zoom has a lot less value than postcards, letters, and visits ever did. Am all for efficiency but a lot of that seems to have come at the cost of sanity.
I saw The Cure open for Love and Rockets at the CNE Bandstand at Exhibition Stadium back in ’89.
Oh, wait. That’s not The Cure you’re talking about.
All this hand-wringing over social media platforms is fun to watch, but it’s not going to matter when the ISPs decide to start blocking them. Think a VPN will save you? How does a covert state-run trap designed to log the actions of people who think they’re actually hiding their actions help? A VPN might get you access to a forbidden free speech site, but just long enough for you to incriminate yourself.
Mimeographed samizdat is the future.
I like 2 tin cans connected by string.
The Cure is one freaky looking group, but their music is outstanding. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame in 2020. I have never heard of Love and Rockets. Why would the Cure open for no names.
I prefer listening to the Cure on youtube rather than waste my time on the likes twitter, parlour, rumble, or truth social. SDA, Blaznf Cat Fur, and Ace of Spades are all I need to read to know what is going on in the world.
It’s worth checking out Love and Rockets. There was a brief time when they certainly were bigger in this country than the Cure. They had a chart hit with a cover of the old psychedelic Motown hit, “Ball of Confusion”, but they were almost as well known for a couple of their own songs, notably “Haunted When the Minutes Drag” and “Yin and Yang, the Flowerpot Men”, which got very popular for a while.
If Kanye buys Parler, it will be dead & gone in a year. Can’t imagine a more volatile dolt to run something people rely on.
Big fan of the current crop of silicon valley moguls, I see.
You just hate Kanye because he doesn’t like Israel, a cardinal sin amongst the Canadian right.
Love Israel and the Jews or get canceled, like one of the first victim of cancel culture, Ernst Zundel.
Ernst wasn’t cancelled, he was exiled.
Doug Collins was cancelled.
Zundel? Wasn’t he deported by a Jewish judge? He was probably the only real political refugee we’ve had out of hundreds of thousands. He was deported to Germany and jailed for years for his opinion. He was an asshole but we protect every other asshole.
Thanks for outing yourself.
Harry, is that you ?

You make three asinine assumptions of my views, based on one simple post? Gosh, you smrt.
All three are dead wrong. You forgot to try to pin racism on me too,
But do carry on. With more practice, you might be ready for combat on Tweeter.
