Go Home

You’re being too productive.

Globe and Mail- Canada’s permanent resident application backlog is forcing thousands of skilled workers to quit and return home

Those measures succeeded in attracting a great many applications for permanent residence, but there was an undesired side effect: Canada’s immigration bureaucracy soon buckled under the pressure to process the avalanche of paperwork. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the federal immigration ministry, responded to the backlog by imposing a moratorium on new applications from people who had already lived and worked in Canada. The pause lasted for almost a year.

  1. The Trudeau government employees, working (ha ha) from home, just can’t seem to process the applications.

    Less drinking, more work
    Less TV, more work
    Less video games, more work.

    1. Joe

      Unioized Public “servants”:
      Federal
      Provincial
      Municipal

      Dog humping waste of skin

  2. The federal public service has finally reached levels of efficiency commensurate with those in other G7 countries such as France and Italy. Huzzah!

  3. Again, why aren’t we training Canadians?

This will be bad electorally if people would rather flee home than stay here and get a free ride.

    1. Because the racist government decided it was okay to use racism and sexism as criteria for hiring people for government jobs, because at some point in the past, the government engaged in previous racism against some of the people that are applying.

      i.e. white people don’t apply

  4. Trudeau govt does not want people who are capable of taking care of themselves – only those that will be dependent on govt.

  5. So illiterate untrained people from shithole countries only need walk across the border with Mounties carrying their luggage while skilled people are given the boot. Obviously the decision has been made to develop our very own shithole country.

  6. Same goes for the health care industry. My doctor keeps cancelling my appointments… how much do you wanna bet they still invoice for me and everyone else they’ve cancelled before they go golfing for the day on the taxpayers dime? Doctors or government employees shouldnt get paid unless the customer or patient signs a satisfactory service invoice .

  7. Well they sure can press a button like nobodies business.. Any time the government attempts to do anything beyond collecting taxes it collapses on itself.. Leaving them no choice but to crash their severs so they can start all over again.. We call this responsible government..

Understand, that they can and will make an example of you.. They call this enforcement.. The next best working thing in government is punishing 1% of the problem..

So, keep your head down and your mouth shut.. Pay your fine and disappear back into the woodwork where you came from.. With so many laws in the books and so many government workers feverishly pushing one damned button all day long :).. The chances of them finding you again are near zero.. The unlucky lottery..

Their incompetence is almost a vaccine against any further government harassment.. I joke, but not really.. Please don’t make a example of me..

  8. This report is creepy. If you work backwards from outcome (skilled workers leave) to find motivation (Govt wants skilled workers to leave) you get a very, very disturbing picture. This implies that immigration is punishment; rub their nose in the diversity.

  9. This is a great thing.

Skilled immigrants are worse for a country than unskilled.

    This ought to be obvious.

Would you rather have the immigrants stealing and thieving (legally or illegally) or have them ruling over you?

    1. WTF?
Are they going to rule as a conglomerate or block of some sort?
Are they going to start a club?
Are Sunnis and Shias going to join with Orthodox Jews and Orthodox Christians to put the boot to the throat of the native Canucks?
C’mon dude, that’s just pure liquid shit.

  10. Time to contract out maybe?
If these “workers” cannot do the work during their union negotiated ‘workday’ maybe it is time to look for a new and improved solution.
I’m sure the unions would piss and moan but that’s all they are good at, other than screwing the taxpayers.

  11. I’m not a fan of large immigration numbers.
I am a fan of skilled immigrants – trades people and engineers as examples.

The federal bureaucracy is full of unskilled people who should become emigrants to Antartica.
    Bunch of shitasses.

  12. First question everyone should be asking is “where is home”? If it is not a civilized place then yeah, absolutely, go home and never comeback.

  13. The article whole premise is a lie: no one goes back home, the people who are on study permits are issued work permits, the people whose work permits expired have their work permits renewed.
This is a piece of propaganda, pushing the government to accept the immigrants no matter what.

  14. Skilled workers, yea really? Last week the lady at the pension call center-if they answer- could barely speak or understand English and to add more insult instead of reinstating my Husband’s pension she did absolutely nothing-nothing. This is week two, still no pension, wanna bet they’re all working from home and using out dated data basis?
