  1. Thanks for posting the Toronto Star’s defending the Mudlim burka — this when the entertainment columnist iin question was supporting Iranian dissidents. The official Toronto Star ruling makes for unintended black comedy this Saturday morning, even with Iranians now giving their lives to become free.

  2. Re the Star’s comment on burkas illustrates the nub of the issue – instead of letting both points of view have it out in published commentary, they choose to censor and prevent free speech. As is often said free speech does not guarantee someone will not be offended, it ensures the opposite. The problem these days is that religious mockery is only allowed against Christianity. A few years ago I attended a live performance of Scottish comic Kevin Bridges, who really laid it on with jokes at the expense of Christian beliefs. I admit, it was quite funny. I wondered to myself when the Mohammed jokes would come. Needless to say, none came.

      Sounds about right….I have 3 good long time Friends who along with m’self, stayed the course – knew it was BS pretty much from the gitgo, tried to alert our extended families, were collectively told we’re full of shit and remain excommunicated. I know I am. I Don’t hear shit from anyone…and at this point, DILLIGAF…?? nope.

      Could care less. A tad pissed about it..? Yea…some. Especially after being verbally shit on in public by a supposed learned senior person. One who has Diabetes, heart issues yet swore by the Vaxx and fully participated in the NAZI like Discrimination against the un-Vaxxed…in his duties. A Certain “God” in the eyes of the rest of the family due to said persons occupation – Senior Chief PILOT for a Cdn Airline.

      (I think part of the issue is that said person worked for Emirates for 10+ yrs…the only Western News they could get in Dubai..??)

    1. Evidence (from Russia) is now suggesting that the bridge was attacked with a truck bomb that collapsed the roadway, which could explain how the nearby train next to where the road bed collapsed caught fire. 3 people died as a result of this alleged attack.

  6. The corrupt Canadian media claim that without the corporate welfare from the Liberal government they will cease to exist.
    They loudly announce that they will go bankrupt and have to lay off their employees.
    Their employees understand that if the corporate welfare ends then so do their jobs.
    It is an existential issue and struggle; their continuing employment is 100% dependent on the corporate welfare continuing.

    So why don’t they have to issue a full disclosure of this massive conflict of interest in every issue and before every broadcast and on every web page?
    Isn’t it fraud and false advertising to claim to be unbiased and honest?
    How is any of this even legal?
    Will CBC Marketplace investigate this?

    And why doesn’t every CPC MP ask reporters and interviewers to disclose that huge funding conflict before starting any sort of conversation with them? See if they squirm and dodge.
    If they refuse discuss it then that opens up another can of worms.
    It’s time for elected MPs to play offense instead of simply crying about media bias and asking for more donations based on that.
    Let’s see some action from them.

    I admire this young girl’s pluck in trying to get signatures for her idealistic but misguided objective. In real life, forcing wokeness down peoples throats is just going to worsen the cultural divide and create more prejudice.
