A few years ago, the Great Lakes had an “unprecedented” drop, which meant “not seen for the attention span of the average millennial”, i.e., about five years.
Of course, this meant that the Feds would have to spend a kabillion dollars dredging the channels, CERB for those who “lost” their jobs, and the requisite spending on climate change research (i.e, giving Seymour Butts’ besties some taxcash).
The inevitable happened, and the next year, an “unprecedented” rise lead to flooding. Well, some millionaire’s homes and the hippies on the Toronto islands got wet.
Of course, this meant that the Feds would have to spend a kabillion dollars on mitigation, CERB for those who “lost” their jobs, and the requisite spending on climate change research (i.e, giving Seymour Butts’ besties some taxcash).
The next three years were completely average, which meant a five year average would have been…completely average.
That said, Lake Ontario is way, way down. Where’s my grant?
