The Daily Sceptic- Hospital Still Spending £138,000 Paying Two People to Stand at Door and Hand Out Masks and Sanitiser
Every month at George Eliot NHS Hospital, two members of staff are assigned to COVID-19 door duty. According to the FOI response shared with campaign organisation Smile Free, the hospital is spending £11,500 per month on this, an annualised expense of £138,000, equivalent to £69,000 per person per year. This sum would cover the wages of four nurses.
Were this repeated at all U.K. hospitals, rough calculations suggest something in the region of £167m across the entire estate, enough to pay for around 5,000 nurses.
Anyone ask the question why all of the sudden during COVID every government authority the world over required a person to do sign when they did a press event? What happened to closed captioning?
Well, if it’s anything like our local CTV ‘news’ close-captioning it would be pretty much gobbledegook! My wife is hearing impaired and the CC is so far behind the narrative and so screwed up as to be virtually useless.

Yeah, that’s pretty much where I am. Questioning everything and not wanting to go anywhere near doctors or hospitals. I’m reaching a point where I distrust them so much I’d rather just die at home in peace that go in for treatment. Being 78 I would likely live longer without their help anyway.
It’s only tax money so basically free and unlimited.
Oh and Manitoba is still doing the COVID theatre. Two security guards at the door of every hospital inspecting people and making them put on the blue government approved mask.

I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago for my annual visit. They’re still requiring masks. I thought to myself, “Should I trust my healthcare to people who reject science?”
There is nothing so permanent as a temporary government program. You’ll be required to wear masks for the rest of your life.
The back-of-napkin dollar estimates are way off, but regardless, the problem isn’t so much an acute lack of money to hire trained nurses, but (a) the chronic underfunding of nursing programs to produce enough trained nurses in the first place, and (b) the fact that nurses only get paid ~£35,000/yr. There simply aren’t enough nurses (a) entering and (b) staying in the HC system.
Spouse spoke to doctor here in Alberta last week. According to doctor, the masking in health facilities is not going anywhere in the near future, if ever.
The CDC FINALLY rescinded its bullshit mask “guidance” for medical facilities this week, except for high-Covid areas. My retinologist’s practice (multiple doctors) seems to think the CDC is the voice of God. I NEED an injection for macular degeneration every six weeks. They insist you wear a mask. I go in, check-in, then wait in my car and they call me when they’re ready for me. So there’s at least that. Once in the treatment rooms, I can pull it dowm. And the doc never bats an eye at me having it under my nose. But some of the front desk people are nuts.
L – Banks handing out masks and latex gloves to prevent fingerprints, would be regarded
as suspicious, as customers and robbers would look uniformly alike.
Masking was the giveaway the scientific method has given way to Medical Marxism/Fascism.
