    1. Robert – in this Reuters article Ursula says that disagreeing with the EU Commission is undemocratic…

“European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen has warned Italy of consequences should it veer away from democratic principles, issuing a barely veiled threat ahead of Sunday’s election that a rightist bloc led by Giorgia Meloni is expected to win.”

Matteo Salvini, the head of the League and a part of Meloni’s conservative alliance, denounced her comments as “shameful arrogance”.

    1. I’ve watched Rai News’ coverage of the election night in Italy: for hours, no one mentioned Mussolini, fascism or far-right. This is mentioned only in stupid foreign media.
NOTE: Rai News is the Italian equivalent of CBC News Network.

  1. Von der Leyen and the rest of the Eurocratic regime need to meet Madame Defarge and Monsieur Guillotin.

    1. Thucy..

And right alongside anyone who is a grad of Herr Obergruppen Furher Klaus Schwabs school of NAZI indoctrination…especially our Canadian ones.

      Italian Result ..?? OUTSTANDING..!!

  2. “… her party’s post-fascist roots … ”

Try to find an MSM article without that ridiculous phrase.

  3. By “right wing”, they mean “not Marxist”. As for “fascism”, it is the left that are the fascists and always have been.

    1. Yes, the left has been successful distancing themselves from their fascist roots since ww2. Its why when you search the term “fascist” you get the this ” a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement”.
Yet when you actually dig down into the 2 most fascist regimes of the last century, Italy and Germany pre-ww2, you find party platforms that look like they could have been taken out of a Liberal or NDP platform of today. Fascism is a socialist based movement.

      1. Nazi is a German nickname for the NASDAP.
        Acronym Definition
NASDAP Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (German: National Socialist German Workers’ Party)

        https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/NASDAP

Communists and Nazis both Centralized Control of their Economies. That is that whole “SOCIALIST” thing. The Nazis centralized control of the German Economy and nationalized many businesses. The biggest difference between the Communists and the Nazis was the Commies sent the successful farmers (kulaks), business owners and managers to the camps or killed them outright, then wondered why everything went to sh!t?! The Nazis left the bosses where they were, then told them they would follow the Nazi Economic Plan or they would be sent to the camps or killed.

Both f–ed up their economies, but at least the Nazis had some people trying to unf–k the economy.

        1. Communists seized control in the name of the workers and then had the ‘peoples’ committees rule the land.

Fascists seized control in the name of the nation and then had their government committees rule the land.

They believed they should control things because only THEY knew what was best for the greater unwashed workers.

Compare this to the ‘conservative’, who basically believes if it isn’t broken then don’t try and fix and really just wants to be left alone to look after their immediate family and loved ones.

Being Right Wing is simply a desire to not have constant rules and regulations over everything they do.

Being a Left Wing is a desire to bring in enough rules and regulations that they can FINALLY make the world equal and fair.

Yet the ‘Right’ are considered a threat to democracy and freedoms.

      2. Yup…

Top down, central control authoritarian….left wing all the way. State above all.

Hitler was named “Man of the Year” in 1938 by Time Magazine. They noted Hitler’s anti-capitalistic economic policies:

“Most cruel joke of all, however, has been played by Hitler & Co. on those German capitalists and small businessmen who once backed National Socialism as a means of saving Germany’s bourgeois economic structure from radicalism. The Nazi credo that the individual belongs to the state also applies to business. Some businesses have been confiscated outright, on other what amounts to a capital tax has been levied. Profits have been strictly controlled. Some idea of the increasing Governmental control and interference in business could be deduced from the fact that 80% of all building and 50% of all industrial orders in Germany originated last year with the Government. Hard-pressed for food- stuffs as well as funds, the Nazi regime has taken over large estates and in many instances collectivized agriculture, a procedure fundamentally similar to Russian Communism.”

(Source: Time Magazine; January 2, 1939.)

        1. What most don’t know (outside of here), is that the major FINANCING of Adolph’s NASDAP came from Britain and America…Rothschilds, Rockefellers et all playing a huge role in that, alongside FORD, MORGAN, BUSH (yea, that family), HARRIMAN and Numerous others…Billions.

The various plans to kill off Western Hemisphere Humanity have been in place for Centuries…the problem has always been, the tech was never up to the point where it could literally wipe out a Few BILLION in a moments notice….mere Hundreds of thousands just didn’t cut it…things did start to “improve” for the Globalist Cabal in WW I and later in WW II…especially the Ending thereof.

And look to where we are today…eh..?? We have Putin saying he will have no issue retaliating with NUKES…to a brain dead president, and a chorus of WEF Nazi drones.

Personally, should I see a number of Russia’s Hypersonic missile’s fly into the EU Parliament while in session, followed by every EU NATO Defense ministry….?? That would be a good start on the eradication of what to me are defacto nazi’s.

  4. // Meloni, 45, plays down her party’s post-fascist roots and portrays it as a mainstream conservative group. //

    1. You get what you get and you like it, because you have no choice. Just like the Germans had to when the Weimar Republic landed on the ash heap of history.

  5. Why do I think if you compared the “Brothers of Italy, Forza Italia, and League” platforms to the 1960’s Italian Social Democrat Party, those supposedly “Right Wing” Parties of the 2020’s are much more liberal than those 1960’s parties?

  6. Any politician who wants to govern for their electorate is considered extreme right wing these days, the concept of contributing citizens is alien to most presstitutes and progressives. Expressing an opinion that less government might just be a great idea id heresy to them. Meloni’s reported aims are:

“Among her major policies are big cuts on income tax, VAT and business taxes; plus a tough line on illegal immigration, targeting in particular traffickers’ boats coming from Libya to Italy and the granting of automatic citizenship to babies born to foreign parents.

High on the agenda too, are a return to family values, a continuation of abortion controls and a change in the relationship with the EU. Brothers of Italy, with the slogan Less Europe, Better Europe, does not want to withdraw from the Eurozone but insists that national laws should have pre-eminence over EU rules.”

    1. I like her…!!
I wonder if Gert Wilders from Holland will come out for a run at the leadership…??
Always like that guy..fellow Anti Islam Dutchman an all..

  7. What bemuses me is the amount of people who have a bio that read “… is an [nominal real job] and an Activist” and that is treated as a good thing to be recognised and reward.

(it is also noted that generally anyone who is an Activist tends to have a day job that some might suggest is… easy. Actors. Media figures. Community Organisers. You never read of someone who is a diesel mechanic and activist. It is also of note that their field of activism never seems to directly relate to their ‘day job’.)

Yet being ‘Right Wing’ is considered evil.

    1. I like when people describe their jobs as “advocate” to mean that they bring awareness to things that they’ve read on the Internet.

Because no one knew that cancer sucked before.

  8. Yawn. So everyone to the right of Che Guevara is now “far right extremist with Nazi roots”? I have yet to see a reason she and her party are not moderate centrists.

  9. References to Mussolini will go through the roof within days.

That is, once, the Gen-Z and millenial “journalists” are told about him.
