  1. Um…no the Nazis did not relocate illegal immigrants, they identified certain groups, most of whom were actually LEGAL CITIZENS and proceeded to KILL THEM! Secondly, most legal citizens, of said identified certain groups, were actively trying to escape Nazi Germany not trying to enter it…!

    Obviously this dimwit has never cracked open a serious history text; otherwise he wouldn’t be spouting such patent drivel.

    Another GONG SHOW winner exuding their ignorance and stupidity for the masses. 🙂

    1. Another “artiste” with delusions of adequacy.

      As an Australian, I was intrigued by his “Civil War” series. I have not watched it for many years; maybe I should, just to see any “sub-texts that may be more obvious in these “woke” times.

      Some of his later output started injecting more obvious “politics” into the supposed issue at hand.

      If Politics is “show- biz” for ugly people, then…

      Is Show -biz “politics” for the “beautiful people”.

      Or something.

  2. If CNN is moving to the ‘center’ as their new boss has indicated he’s in the process of doing then maybe, just maybe find anchor’s that have the balls to push back even a tiny bit. Like… how bout asking, for example, the brilliant documentarian how those illegals got to Florida in the first place and who was the “authoritarian” that sent them there.

Burns is a typical leftist do-gooder, conflating mindless emotion and empathy for desperately poor illegal immigrants as justification to cast aside the rule of law and place a burden on those near their unenforced border but not on his fellow elite, rich, walled community dwellers. He reacts to the exposure of the hypocrisy of him and his fellow poseurs by leaping to Ad Hominem attacks using their Nazi boogeyman without any understanding of the history of his fellow progressives, who, up until just before the outbreak of WW2 were significant supporters of the Nazis and the then popular eugenics.

  5. As we say in old Brooklyn “Wotta joik!” Well, he’s 69 , on PBS and still sucking on the public teat, so the crap about authoritarianism bla bla bla does not surprise. His comment that the Venezuelans were fleeing communism is a bit of a surprise as I would take him for someone who would swoon over those fellas. Maybe the comrades will take him to task for that bit of wrongthinking.

  8. His much lauded civil war series was revisionist tripe. Never cared for it, but the background music was good I guess so a lot of folks liked it I guess.

    1. He didn’t write any of that. That was jay Ungar, and he made more than afew dollars from that song, and managed to save the music camp that he was in danger of losing, which was inspired the Ashokan farewell. Ashoken mountains where his camp was based.

  14. A swine eyed self loathing Liberal. Caught him on the Adam Corolla podcast many years ago where he was asked if he played tennis or something of that nature, Burns replied: “No, I refuse to play any sport where blacks don’t dominate”.
    Give it a rest, Champ.
    I’m sure his family had an intervention to stop him from slitting his wrists when he found out an ancestor of his owned slaves.
