I asked [Premier Scott Moe] if Saskatchewan had heard anything from the feds on their promise of increasing oil production by 300,000, or any ability to get it to them – pipeline, crude-by-rail, export infrastructure. We are, after all, the second largest oil producing province in the country, and anything coming from Alberta to the East Coast would have to pass through us. So you’d think we’d have heard something. Anything.
The answer? “No,” Moe said.

Blackie doesn’t want oil used on the east coast or anywhere else. Yesterday Environment Minister Hans Gruber was promising millions of dollars for heat pumps in the Maritimes.
The entire statement about 300,000 bbl was stupid. At the time of the statement, oil was over $100/bbl. I work in the oil industry and I can assure you that no company had oil to bring on at that price. The increase would have to come from new production and, in the oildsands, that takes months or years to execute.

100% agreed.
…near 7+ yrs of Virulent Anti Oil Rhetoric from the PMO & Steven Guibault, West Coast Tanker Bans, a massive Cesspool of Regulatory BS prior to any energy project moving forwaRD, a BC govt determined to enact on his Heigness’s whims and massive Negative pressure/Millions from US Oligarchs (for well over a decade), with their paid protesters, XL at a standstill and finally a virulent Anti Oil Presidential Imbecile in the WH..?? (not that he has jurisdiction – but his line is open to the Turd), ….. said 300,000bbl/day increase is simply not going to happen. Any extra production will head to Burnaby Via TM.
Besides, given the above, who in their right mind would invest in the Oil Sands today..??
I gotta say though, That Trans Mountain is actually being built however is simply amazing…
There is one investment ALBERTA aught to make:
Build a 500m ROW from Hardisty/Ft Mac to the Alaska Border…within which there should be a minimum of 3-4 42″+ X70/80 Pipelines that all could connect to the Trans Alaskan Pipeline system – DIRECT to Valdez: a Yr round ICE Free port that can handle VLCC & ULCC Crude carriers – World Wide Distribution…and if they were real smart, they’d add a rail line on the same ROW….but that makes too much sense I guess… This was floated out there as far back as 2014, and I do believe the Alaskan govt at the time Welcomed the idea with open arms…..then PM ShitStain happened.
Or use the existing Canol row?
What exactly is this CANOL Row..??
Never heard that term..?
I don’t see the part about increasing production by 300,000 B/D. It’s just a promise to increase exports. With enough carbon tax, Canadians can cut their consumption by the 12 or 15% to help out Justin’s WEF friends.
You just have to talk about helping without actually helping to get your feels for the day.
Does anybody really believe the eurotrash would do anything for Canada? Alberta and Saskatchewan should refuse to pump a single barrel of oil for Blackie and his foreign friends. Besides, the Europeans don’t need our oil, they need to smarten the fuck up.
The former Soviet Union used to trade with the outside world in small measures. Of course, the average Soviet citizen could have none of that.
I suspect something similar here.
Your consolation prize is the windmill solar power home game.. Slightly better than nothing I suppose..
