Voters in Chile rejected a brand new proposed Constitution that would have made the conservative Latin American country into one of the most far-left countries in the world.
The New York Times noted that the new Constitution would have legalized abortion, mandated universal government-run healthcare, promoted woke gender initiatives, granted rights to animals and the environment, and would have given them government-provided care “from birth to death,” including a right to housing, education, retirement benefits, internet, free legal advice, sanitation and more.
The extreme Constitution would have also eliminated the country’s Senate, something that many on far-left want to happen in the U.S.
With nearly 75% of the votes counted, an overwhelming majority of Chileans, almost two-thirds, rejected the attempt to transform the country into a radical leftist social experiment.
Well, the night is still young and you never know when a water main might break.

I have a friend whose girlfriend is from Chile, and both of them rant about how fascist the country was and how she apparently had two uncles disappeared under Pinochet for “being activists”. When I asked them if that meant “being Communists”, they changed the subject rather abruptly.

…and by that they will mean rigged elections of course.
By that they mean absolute central control. It is the same affliction that we see in the U.S., Canada, and most of the western world.

Here’s an idea!! Why don’t ALL the Socialists living in Free Countries move to a small South American country … and start their own Commune in the middle of a jungle. A single Dear Leader can operate the new “country” … sitting in a chair giving inspiring speeches all day long. He can declare himself the Chief progenitor of the country, and have sex with all the young women and everyone’s wife. Come on Socialists … drink your own Kool Aide … make the FULL commitment to “the cause” …
