    County Sheriff’s are elected also. And different from Police.

    The only way I can see a FBI agent, agent of Washington, having power to view is either the Sheriff voluntarily cooperates, unlikely. Or the FBI goes before a Federal Judge, and somehow gets, and forces the Sheriff. Possible but unlikely.

I believe Trump became aware there was a mole releasing information about documents being marked Classified and he set up the miscreant by installing a new safe and telling only the miscreant that he had stashed sensitive documents in it. And they took the bait. I would like to believe there was a note saying Surprise inside. On Jan.20th 2021 Trump declassified reams of documents, as he is entitled and authorised to do. Included was all documents pertaining to Operation Crossfire. He told Kash Patel he wanted to ensure the whole sordid story would be available to the American people and not swept away into the dark recesses of Classified Document prison never to see the light of day. The jackals have been yapping and barking about him being in possession of Classified documents. Of course he has possession, they are his documents and he did not personally pack the boxes when he left the White House hence the reason why National Archives take months to sort everything, except of course in Obamas case where this has not happened. Just because a document is stamped Classified does not mean it is valid. Declassifying documents does result in every copy on the planet mysteriously deleting the designation.

    Why should the FBI listen to the state AG?
    What is the state going to do about it?

    1. The state officials will not cooperate. Doors do not magically open when an FBI agent approaches.

      You might read up on the American system. It’s called federalism.

      The FBI agents face arrest if they try this in Missouri.

      Other states will be on the side of Missouri, to protect their own sovereignty from encroachment.
