  2. So the Medicine Hat Police won’t release the details of the arrest until tomorrow, and even her attorney has no idea why she was taken into custody. However, it is assumed it is a violation of her bail release.

    I am curious how a judge can make it a condition of your bail that you can’t go to certain parts of a city (especially) if those parts out of bounds are tax payer operated. I’m, also, unclear as to how a judge can tell you who you can an can’t associate with. I’m going to assume that they arrested her for accepting a Freedom award associated with the convoy acts…which the judge also forbid (somehow)….which is pure irony.

    1. Judges can set nearly any conditions of bail they like. Remember Artur Pawlowski’s bail conditions include not being able to preach the Word.

      There is, practically speaking, no recourse for a citizen to seek redress against a police officer, Crown attorney or judge abusing their power in this country.

  6. Sounds like it was done at the request of Trudeau. If that was the case, Medicine Hat police should have declined the request, or better yet, told Trudeau they needed time to study the request. Anyway, if it was urgent, the RCMP should have made the arrest.

    Hopefully, all foreigners contemplating travel to Canada will have second thoughts about doing so after seeing the continued lawless nature of the regime.

    I searched for the word ‘Lich’ using the search function on the front page of the Calgary Herald.
    The story of her re-arrest comes up third after some covid stories.
    It is shown as ‘local news’.
    I go to local news and there is no story.
    No story on the main page, and no story in ‘news’.
    So the corrupt Trudeau media can claim that they ‘covered’ the story but nobody will be see it unless they already know of it.

  24. The process is the punishment once again. I understand the condition of her bail was that she was not to have contact with Marazzo (another of the convoy organizers). However, at the Freedom awards, she was in a photo with him. However, details of the bail condition stated that she could be in his presence if her attorney was present….and her attorney was, indeed, at that event.

    So they will make here sit in jail for a few days before moving her to Ontario…which will also be drawn out. And, then the judge will give here a lecture about skating on thin ice, and let her go home.

    1. Mischief is probably the lowest rung of criminal offenses. Rarely, if ever, does it garner the person charged a prison sentence, and even fewer cases warranting remand of the accused for an extended, unexpained period of time. When freedom of speech and /or movement can be restricted at the whim of the government, it’s safe to say no such freedoms exist. It would be really interesting to know what trumped up charges were attached to the warrant for Lich’s arrest. Perhaps she is charged with “crimes” she might commit during the upcoming mini-truck rally. Those in favor of charging Lich will undoubtedly be in favor of arresting the next native railroad blockade, the grannies protesting provincial (and always conservative) health care funding, teachers and nurses screeming at the provincial legislatures (again, always conservative governments) when they threaten strike action and of course the queer and pro-abortion terrorists.

    2. Damn right. The military should have been called in to remove them by any means necessary, any level of force necessary. Trucks can be replaced, truckers can be replaced too.

      Not what the polls say. The NDP’s ‘strength’ peaked shortly after Kenney’s election and slowly slid after that. Imploded right after Kenney took a hint (or several dozen) and bailed.
