From SDA regular contributor, Denise:
My beloved dad died 10 years ago. On Sunday I’ll raise a beer in deep appreciation of my kind, hardworking, fun, loving father and all the good, decent men who, day after day, year after year, forego their needs for their families out of duty and love. To celebrate fathers in an unconventional way, this musical essay offers a politically incorrect portrayal of a day in the life of a (fictional) dutiful dad who does the unexpected: he takes time for himself. Written & performed by my husband, James, fortunately “dad” realizes that he’s having a breakout, not a breakdown. Without a doubt, it’s a much deserved breakout. Here’s Duty Calls.

Thanks Denise! I will raise a glass for your dad as well.
