  1. These “elites” will no doubt feel bad for the proles even as those same proles rise up and literally tear them limb from limb, such is the vastness of their “caring”. Popcorn and an aluminum baseball bat, please.

  2. Anybody else notice that California was never the same after the Clampett’s loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly, Hills that is.

    1. And yet time after time, those deplorable Beverly Hillbillies would turn out by the end of the episode to be wiser and more astute than their urban sophisticate betters.

I can’t imagine why Hollyweird executives carried out the Rural Purge to make room for more enlightened family-friendly fare by the likes of Lear et al.

Maybe a future Canadian studio could make a similar program/series following the same theme, with the Hillbillies replaced by truckers with bouncy castles & Beverly Hills by Centretown Ottawa…

    2. I think the state would be better run by the Clampetts than the current assortment of Marxists. Canada, too.

      1. If it was today the Clampetts would have stayed in the Ozarks. The people there have more class and intelligence. And everyone there knows Elly May is a woman.

  3. I don’t know. The Putz of Papineau is a statist, a commie who wants the elite to be the government and specifically the Librano Party of Canada.
He’s chased away foreign investment like no “leader” in the history of the country.

    1. He doesn’t even know how to spell ‘statist’. He wants to be whatever the hand up his ass wants him to be.

  4. found it. the reason behind the reason:
“the rest of the state’s residents who voted for them”
thus the root cause is exactly the same, both geopolitical areas.

  5. Change “Laurentian” for “Californian” and you see Canada’s current situation.

    1. I am certainly tiring of using the term “elites” to describe these evil lowlife scumbags.

Maybe the term ‘normalphobes’ is one that even they could grasp.

    2. Exactly. Western Canada does not vote Liberal enough, so we have been cut-off, yet again, via excessive regulations and terrible new laws that drive investment away and preclude development of all industries that were our international competitive advantage: logging and fisheries, oil, gas and minerals, and now, meat, fertilizer, grains and tourism. The Indians did controlled burning to prevent summer fires, but this is not allowed anymore.

This is compounded by so-called international and local “non-profits”. Municipal and provincial authorities are totally in on the game. They love to learn how other leftists run their regimes. As more so-called activists, educated for two to three decades in crap, are given salaries, entire cities are being turned into bike lanes used for 3 months of the year.

In my lifetime, I expect to have to drive 20 kilometers to buy gas for my perfect, aging 2016 Kia Rio, with very low km. Urban gas stations are less profitable than the land they occupy. Meanwhile, we subsidize wealthy people to buy fire-prone electric cars, which will seriously mess up our home insurance and electric grid in due time.

Be sure to watch my segment on the self-spreading vaccines that are currently being worked on. I cover this in the videos within the link below starting at about 1:38:00. I also included below a video of their own making describing this.

  7. me again. finished the well constructed succinct article.
1 thing missing. no mention of the abjectly insane and infamous ‘3 strikes rule’.
20 years eh Jean Valjean (les miserables) for stealing a pair of socks. the ‘bandwagon emperor has no clothes’ surge when that was voted on. didn’t *anybody* think to mention jeepers, mebbe we should limit the rule to SERIOUS felonies?
nope. gotta gut the education, highways, infrastructure, welfare, etc etc budgets to triple the prison capacity and pay all those prison guards and admin. good job there prison guard lobby, what a bullseye!!! that’s the way its done!!!
mebbe the other ‘rule’ governing the state was to just go with the herd.

    1. As for the “abjectly insane and infamous ‘3 strikes rule” you speak of.
1st: How many felonies have YOU committed?
2nd: if you had 2 strikes against you, and knew another crime would put you in prison for LIFE, would you still do it? I’d think any rational person wouldn’t chance spitting on the sidewalk.
Three strikes worked, and worked well.
Until liberals weakened it. Worse yet, they now fail to enforce any laws that hurt their feelings.

  8. Our elites are selfish, to the point they resemble sociopaths. They are polluting the future’s water supply with needless battery waste. They said they wanted European gas prices, now they are making it so. They laugh at poor people who can’t afford to get to work (“we told you not to live out there”) Heard some idiot on the radio today (South Carolina, USA) say that she can’t believe those Wascally Wepublicans would support the oil companies after they caused all these high prices. They’re ruining our environment and victimizing poor people on both sides of the border. No opposition party grabs these issues – here we’d love Canadian voting procedures brought down, lots of people want cheap gas and food, yet in both wings of our Uniparty and the many wings of Canada’s Uniparty no one can come up with an issue to grab hold of. We can’t be outraged at the birdie Cuisinarts, nor at all the chemicals and rare earths needed for electric cars, nor at balloting rules changed at the last minute, no one in our Uniparties seems able to find anything to get outraged about. Both countries need a fighting opposition party.
