Sword and Sorcery

At the Belmont Club.

The most singular aspect of the rise of Woke mumbo jumbo is its relationship with the astonishing technological development that sustains it; enabling what may be called a ‘sword and sorcery’ regime. Quasi-theocracies are upheld by technology so advanced it appears to be magic, at least to the general public, who have only a vague and awestruck knowledge of the mechanisms involved. “This man is woman,” a counter disinformation bureaucrat might intone, and all would nod in asset. Those in the virtual crowd who disagree will remain mute, for they know that with a gesture, the functionary can zap any dissenter with cancelation, so that he can be excluded from the metaverse entirely, through a process few understand but all fear.

Meanwhile, a former CBC columnist tugs at her strings.

  1. Tara is an idiot. “Each newly-sprouted branch represents a further splintering of society”. However, I look at it this way, to use her own analogy, a tree with many branches is healthy. A tree without branches is a log , and its dead.

  2. This line says it all. “Politicians seem to think it possible to conjure a carbon-free world into existence”.

I’m really beginning to think that the elites are so out of touch that they actually believe that they can conjure up the impossible. And of course, we are supposed to believe and agree with them that they are able to do it. We are to enter into their mental illnesses and agree and take on their wacky ideas as our own, or we are some misogynist, racist, bigot or phobe of some type, if we don’t comply.

As for Tara, at least she got out of the CBC. A good first step.

    1. Engineers understand that the world is a series of trade offs, and they have to abide by various laws that the physical world imposes on them.

      Politicians have no such restrictions.

    2. If you take the two things together, you realize it is not the majority which actually believes these absurdities, but it is most definitely the majority who lack the cojones to point out the absurdities, lest they run afoul of the loudest and stupidest in their tribe. Justin Trudeau is in the minority which does believe the conjurings will work, having flunked out of every science program he ever attempted. Many civil servants also believe this, being the self selected idiots they are, and believing in the omnipotence of government, all evidence to the contrary.

      1. There is a vast difference between “Government Wisdom” and “Government Enthusiasms”

  3. I was watching some Youtube videos on electrical generation this morning.
It is complete magic to the lunatics and they resent anyone who can understand how anything works.

Most of the world is smarter than they are and they resent that and come up with reasons to justify their hate for them and to hurt them for being smarter and more competent than them.

There is also an acknowledgement of their own complete stupidity.
They say that mere words are horrifically dangerous to them and to others.
The left assumes wrongly that everyone is as stupid and easily manipulated as they are.
That is why every word is dangerous to them and why every idea is dangerous to them.
    They can’t think. Period.

If I read something by someone urging irrational violence I don’t act because I’m rational and I can think for myself.
They are telling us that if someone tells them to do something bad they are powerless to stop themselves.
    Because they are morons.

  4. Perhaps we miss the obvious.
There is no point arguing with an idiot.
We elect fools and bandits, partly for the pleasure of watching them go splat.
A “Wee splat” moment is upon us.
Much pain, suffering and blame will follow.
The non-tool using segment of society has declared War,upon the tool users..
The Tool users stare in disbelief, for we know these idiots will be reduced to cannibalism in days,if they succeed in crippling the complex systems we have built and maintain to feed them.
The true mark of a “Progressive” and I mean Progressive like rust,is their ability to believe at least 6 impossible and contradictory things before breakfast.
The past is a clean, blank slate to these people.

The Trucker just posted notice to the parasitic overload.
Their warning went whoosh, right over the heads and unseen by our “helpers”..

    Now ,we wait.
Many of us still processing the brave new world we find ourselves in.
The idiot wing of humanity has declared war..
    I believe them.
As always,if you want something done right,to your own exacting standards..do it yourself.

And in homage to those awful “Heritage Canada Adds of yesteryear..
    The Guillotine,because its our heritage!
