  1. I have lived in Quebec all my life. Although not a francophone, I am totally fluent in French and can “pass” as a Quebecoise to the extent that francophones says things in front of me they wouldn’t say if they knew I was an anglophone. So let me be perfectly clear about something: the language legislation is not about protecting the French language – it’s about getting back at “les maudits Anglais” (the god-damned English). For Legault and his followers, it will always be 1759.

    1. Divide and conquer

      English French

      White Black

      Catholic Protestant

      East West

      City Rural

      Boomer GenX

      Women Men

      Husband Wife

      Children Parents

Governments and their paid shills in media and elsewhere is always in divided and conquer mode…

      Why?

Because we are too stupid to end it all…

      Why?

      Because we are divided

      Vicious Circle and never ending

A round and round we go…

    2. For Legault and his followers, it will always be 1759.

Yup. It didn’t help that the toadying to the discontented became national policy starting with that nebbish Lester Pearson.

    3. I too was born and raised in Montreal and left in the late ’70s when the ROC was still a breath of fresh air by comparison. Canada is now totally Communist and worse, we are governed by unelected bureaucrats in Europe. The Francophone politicians know this, yet, they cling to possibly losing their language like the Louisianians? What about their right to self govern? Don’t they care about that?

This is like 1759 when the French literally opened their gate in the City where they hid after the Plains of Abraham battle. They wanted to peek and see where the English were…and shockingly, the English, quite literally, were right under their noses! So what did the English do? Naturally they charged right in. That’s what bothers the average Québéçois these last 269 years, let didn’t have to open the gate, but they did, and they’re still smacking their foreheads.

Legault should want to separate from Canada but he’s too blind to see that not only the Francos have lost the battle but so has the whole Country. Shutting down Roxham Road is on his agenda. Will that work? The FEDs are still mum on that, the RCMP are there not the Quebec Provincial Police. Is that a mistake just like 1759 when they took a peek at the gate? Why, they’ve just repeated History!

I’m glad I left that province — the enjoyment of all communication in the English language is one of the pleasures that I still treasure.

I now worry about Canada and Canadians like I did back in the day as a Québéçoise and you should be too.

      1. It’s long been my contention that the worst legislation imposed upon this country or its colonial predecessors was the Quebec Act.

        1. Essentially it forced American Independence. Good for them. Now that too is (almost) lost to the Globalists.
Here’s an interesting piece with maps by Ted Brackemyre:

Perhaps the Quebec language laws will do the same for Canada and break it up. Merci beaucoup Monsieur Legault et Mlle Jolie!

    4. It goes back a lot farther than that. 1066. I can only imagine the people who thought it was a good idea to put the French and English together in one country laughed their asses off at the joke.

      1. First, there was 1066, soon followed by the census which resulted in the Domesday Book. About 150 years after the Battle of Hastings, the Magna Carta was signed. Coincidence?

  2. Why would any English speaking person hang around Kaybeck? They want to get rid of all the Anglos, why fight them?

    1. Using Dumb Biker’s logic:

“Why would any white Canadian remain in Canada? Trudeau/NDP want to get rid of all the white Cdns, why fight them?”

      1. That would be fine if
        a) There were indicators that the Progs & Commies actually want to get rid of whites. If they did, they’d release Alberta & Sask immediately. I haven’t seen any hard data to that end;
        b) Kaybec was worth fighting for. As the cesspool of corruption it currently is, it ain’t.

        1. The eastern logic is that Alberta and Saskatchewan should be free to leave Confederation, but should leave Canada (i. e., Quebec) its oil and farmland.

    1. Opposition Pete did sweet fuckall during the pandemic for Canadians. he did take THREE pay raises.

  3. Anglos hate it when people protect their culture. Lord knows Anglos won’t do it.

    1. Anglos hate it when Anglos protect their culture. I doubt we’ll ever regain our sanity.

  4. Years ago when Quebec was threatening to leave the confederation (not sure if that’s the proper term) I asked a friend of mine from Canada what this would mean.
He said there were two consequences: the government would save money and Quebec would have to learn English to do business.
He was in favor of both.

    1. Yes indeed…the ROC should have been giving tit-for-tat to Quebec for every anti-English move their government made.

  5. They may succeed in keeping Quebec a French speaking province, but at the rate things are going, by the end of the century, the people who will populate Quebec will be Haitians, Algerians and all kinds of people who do speak French but have nothing Quebecois or Canadian about them.

While they will focus on making sure people speak French, nothing will be done about the on going race replacement program.

A race replacement both denied and celebrated by the main stream media.

Every time census numbers confirms the percentage of non-whites is going up, the media celebrate this as something very very positive,
and every time we ( conservatives ) say that means the number of whites is going down and that at this rate we will eventually be replaced, they accuse us of believing in stupid racist conspiracy theories.

They are happy that whites are being replaced while denying that whites are being replaced.

Leftism is a symptom of serious mental problems.

  6. Shrug. With very, very few exceptions the English-speaking Quebecers who moved into this part of Ontario over the past 40 years are loyal supporters of turdo’s tyranny. I imagine their stay-behind brethren are no different. They just want yo be able to pick and choose their acceptable tyranies.

So, ferme ta gueule, prendre tes jabs, et parles pas la maudit anglais.

  7. If it leads, even by the smallest of measures, to getting rid of La Belle Province, then please proceed!

  8. The English shouldn’t even be living in Quebec. The only thing wrong with the law is that it doesn’t go further.

  9. Try to move the English half of the Just For Laughs Festival to Toronto and watch the wails of protests erupt. Honestly, the Quebecois are appropriating those parts of English culture that they like, i.e., blockbuster movies, JFL etc. on the one hand while crapping on the rest of it with the other. Pick a lane Quebec, pick a lane.

    1. Oh, oui, oui, oh, the hypocrisy!

Get this: Guy Lafleur’s Funeral mass was in the English language. Apparently there were screams, screams, no, no!

I fell on the floor, in shock, in shock, I tell you!

  10. Francophones are artificially propped up the government.

It’s time to end this kleptocracy.

  11. Been listening to and putting up with this shit all my fairly long life. Stupid people accept stupid things.

  12. Bang that pot Legault ….bang it til your arm gives out . The dissolution of this failed confederation can’t come soon enough . Our lack of a core identity in ROC will be on full display as trudope shepherds us to his postnational state . 32.6 % can’t be wrong now can they . The only salvation for Western Canada will be Wexit .

  13. Why doesn’t Quebec leave Canada? Three main reasons: 1) it can do what it wants within Canada with no push back from Ottawa or the Supreme Court; 2) it can fill a disproportionately large share of cushy federal government jobs and work there in French; 3) it will receive $13.7 billion in equalization grants from federal taxpayers this year alone ( while Alberta, B.C., Newfoundland, Ontario, and Saskatchewan each receive $0.00). It’s a racket that was designed by federal politicians, both Liberal and P.C., and it will never change. Screw the anglos!

  14. Why doesn’t Quebek leave Canada ?

Because the french speaker from Querbak owns and rules over Canada.

Without Canada the whole french language racket and french language terrorism would end.

French speaking Quebekers and the whole french language industry need non french speaking Canadians to pay for their french language racket and unfortunately Canadians passively accept this institutional bigotry.

The imposition of french as an “official language” was a tool of malice, deception and division and it still is.

  15. If I understand correctly, Quebec is its own nation within Canada. This is why they are allowed their own laws separate from the rest of us. Perhaps the West should become its own nation…

  16. Meh ,the Liberals need a distraction.
    Quebec obeys.
For the End of Justine The Petulant, will be the end of Quebec’s free ride.
The Retribution Party will be demanding repayment of all ROC monies stolen by Quebec, since confederation, meaning Equalization dies.
“You are free little froggie. Free”
After the “Natives ” get through separating their share, the Quebec Homeland might fit on Montreal Island.
Western Separation is the only way to break these thieves and their parasitic stranglehold on our future.

  17. This has bothered me for quite some time.
    The answer.
“Upper” Canada and “Lower” Canada, are now 2 new provinces’.

We all get what we want.

Dominion of Canada still could work.

Just have to remove them from us.
