  1. Well, another academic hired for a useless cause. That is no longer newsworthy. When I go to the Costco in Guelph, I see more masks on people than I do in any other environment, and all I can say (to myself) is “University Goldfish Bowl”.

    1. I was at costco today getting gas (196.6/litre) and the person in front of me was wearing a mask, while outside, without another person within 20 feet of her

      1. I drive throughout Mississauga all day and almost everyone still wears a mask outside. Doesn’t matter if they’re by themselves or in a pack. Also see lots of people still wearing masks in their cars…while driving alone.

        1. People who mask while driving are a risk to other road uses.
Masks reduce field of vision – objectively true.
Masks reduce oxygen flow – objectively true.
Both reduce the ability to operate motor vehicles.

I can only conclude that many of these people are more or less addicted to smelling their own farts. One of the affects of reduced Oxygen is a feeling of light headed excitement. I can only assume that at some level the mask junkies are becoming addicted to this feeling.

  2. Imagine they is your boss and answering to they every day. I would start imbibing Sunday night afternoon.

  3. I’m curious if these people (generalizing on purpose) understand the concept of “Patronization” and how it has a negative influence on, not just those being patronized, but everyone.

I don’t think they ever get past the point where they FEEL they are accomplishing something for the greater good, while totally disregarding the effect that results from those pseudo-accomplishments.

Hey look, I dug a hole.
Where did you put the dirt?
Oh, I filled the other hole I dug earlier.

  4. “Equity” is the biggest load of shit out there and she looks like she’s full of shit so that’s unsurprising.

  5. Allow me to list her qualifications:

( From her profile at the University of Guelph)

I’m at a loss on the “environmental literary studies” field. What is that, exactly? It’s interesting that when I put that phrase in Google…nothing matched it exactly. Maybe she made it up.

    1. I’m at a loss on the “environmental literary studies” field.

She sings English Country Garden a lot?

  6. Racism under new management, in this case by someone looking like a shim. Isn’t it nice that the institutions most responsible for vandalizing western civilization have to have inhouse racism management departments as if racism couldn’t survive, even at minimal levels of detection, without them. I guess when the job (destroying western civilization) calls for omnipresent racism along with victimization, envy, resentment and hatred, and don’t forget censorship, what better way than with your very own bureaucracy. All of this must conform to generally accepted norms of Marxism, named after a premier racist.

  7. Ancient Greek saying: Those whom the gods would destroy, they first make crazy. Of course, she would not know, her interests do not extend that far back.

  8. Completely useless job.

    Completely unnecessary.

    Complete waste of money.

If you ever needed another example of why you should never send your child to these Marxist indoctrination centres, this is it.

  9. When your job relies upon the spectre of ‘racism’, then ‘racism’ will be found lurking anywhere & everywhere until the end of time.

  10. Guelph? As we used to say at Highschool With Ash Trays –

    Goofiest
    University
    Ever
    Licensed
    Probably
    Horsesh*t

    1. Guelph has long been the most stupidly political campus in Canada. Other, like Concordia or UBC are more virulent; but U of G outshines them all in the pursuit of truly silly policies.

      1. They are all trying to outshine each other.
I know whereof I speak from the Alberta and BC examples and beyond.
        I lived that world.
They all try to be the best ranked institutions via garnering the most money from the federal tri council research funders of silly and woke research grant money.
        Oink oink, Baby!

        1. I know whereof I speak from the Alberta and BC examples and beyond.

Yup. The former U of A president had the ambition of making the uni one of the top ten in the world. One result was a lot of new buildings sprouted on campus, most of which were horrible architecture. That goal was never met and she, like I hinted elsewhere, behaved like a Seagull School of Management graduate and skedaddled elsewhere. I know that she sits on at least one corporate board of directors as her name appeared on the proxy.

  11. Hmmm. Maybe a little scandal needs a problem promoted out of the playroom. The contract is for two years. Resume candy. Then, off to somewhere else. Somewhere that does not have Canadian winter.

    1. We used to call administrators like that graduates from the Seagull School of Management. They fly in, make a big mess for other people to clean up, and then they fly off to another juicy gig to do it all over again there.

Armpit College had a VP like that during my final years there. She didn’t do a whole lot, as far as I can tell, but whenever she did, it was often quite barmy. I never met her, never saw what she looked like, but I was told that she looked a bit like a latter-day hippy.

      1. BA,
        I called them helicopters.
People like Indira as U of A president, formerly from UBC engineering.
The Uber administrators fly around like homing pigeons citing the next message with graft rolled up and ready to tie to their legs.
PS…in my former life, I dealt with all the Alberta colleges. I amuse myself by guessing which one was Armpit College, given the odiferous nature of most of them.

        1. The last decent U of A president was Myer Horowitz. The uni went into the crapper when his successor took over and things haven’t improved since.

As for the identity of AC, I shall neither confirm nor deny which one it is. Suffice it to say that it has a long memory and a long reach and it is not kind to its detractors. I’ve heard of people who long left the place, publicly revealed something about it, and were quickly threatened with lawsuits.

It cares more about its image and reputation than anything else.

I’ve also had my dealings with a few colleges in Alberta. Referring to them as odiferous would be a compliment and I won’t mention which those were.

  12. The face of a woman in need of three Russian soldiers to give her a proper seeing-to.

  13. Your comment cheapens this site. Suggest that you go for counselling to understand what you are wishing on this person. You obviously have issues.

  14. She is to promote “inclusion.”
Somehow I don’t think straight white males who work with their hands and have Judeo-Christian ethics will be Included in her Inclusiveness.

  15. The prime function of higher education these days is to keep the otherwise unemployable out of the job market for as long as possible.

    Change my mind.
