  1. Its now obvious that liberal war-mongers have completely lost their minds. It is clear that these people are very dangerous.

They think fighting a nuclear war, which everyone on earth loses, (losing hardly seems a strong enough word for the extermination of the human race), would be an appropriate distraction from the total disaster that Biden has unleashed with every move he makes.

I ain’t lost anything in Ukraine; and losing an election is unquestionably better than destroying the human race and the planet in a nuclear fireball.

    1. Nuclear war would be horrible but it would not come remotely close to wiping out humanity. Where do people get these ideas?

Nuclear war would severely damage the United States and Russia for a few decades (and to a lesser extent Europe), but civilization would not be threatened, nor would “the environment”.

Perhaps it would be a catastrophe of similar scope to the black death, but not some planet destroying event.

      1. STEVE…

Sorry but thats complete & utter Bullshit my friend. We’re not talking about 1-5KT payloads here bud…Nor fission weaponry. How many nukes are there on the planet.?? All of which are MIRV types with what…20-50Mt capacity..??

Still more than enough to Vaporize the entirety of the planet while irradiating the planet for Centuries. Should that insanity happen, I’ll make sure I’m on ground zero.

        1. No, not even close. If you airburst detonated every single warhead that existed at the height of the Cold War Arms race the blast radius would only cover an area the size of the state of California. Airbursts don’t produce radioactive fallout, and groundbursts have much more severely limited blast radii.

All of the bollocks about nuclear winter or Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic radioactive wastelands are the product of Soviet-backed leftist media types who were trying to undermine Reagan’s tough-on-Communism foreign policy.

That doesn’t make nuclear war desirable – it would till be unimaginably destructive and there would be no nation capable of executing a Marshall Plan afterwards – but the hysterical end-of-the-world shrieking needs to stop.

          1. I don’t know about that.
Some 2000 year old book said at its concluding chapter that , if it’s Creator did not intervene in our nuclear war and stop it , ALL FLESH on this Rock will DIE.

So , I am going to go with that hypothesis.

  2. [Turgidson advocates a further nuclear attack to prevent a Soviet response to Ripper’s attack]

General “Buck” Turgidson: Mr. President, we are rapidly approaching a moment of truth both for ourselves as human beings and for the life of our nation. Now, truth is not always a pleasant thing. But it is necessary now to make a choice, to choose between two admittedly regrettable, but nevertheless *distinguishable*, postwar environments: one where you got twenty million people killed, and the other where you got a hundred and fifty million people killed.

President Merkin Muffley: You’re talking about mass murder, General, not war!

General “Buck” Turgidson: Mr. President, I’m not saying we wouldn’t get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks.

    1. What makes that scene even funnier is the look of satisfaction on George C. Scott’s face when he delivers that line.

Maybe we’ll have to start singing what may be Dame Vera Lynn’s signature tune…..

          1. Just as long as our interactions are on something more substantial than an atmospheric mixing on the elemental level.

Between (a possibly dying) Putin, a formerly complacent, now suddenly scared and militaristic EU. and a senile Biden, I do not see anyone tamping down on escalation, much less trying for a cease fire and peace. That downright scares me. – There’s something happening here; What it is ain’t exactly clear

  3. I could find no one on his Twitter responses even coming close to agreeing with him in fact he’s taking a hammering. This man is clearly a sociopath.
This one from “Jen” struck a chord with me.

Can you please stop? I’d really like my 3 children to have a future. Really.
This is one of the worst takes I’ve come across in my life.

You want him just to “stop”? You’re being way too charitable, Jen.

  4. Did anyone read this? He is advocating for reverting to the Cold War policies that made the Soviets very skeptical they could win a war with the US by using tactical nuclear weapons.

Obama removed all US tactical nukes from field units, making a Russia tactical strike cost free.( I’m sure he said it was a confidence-building exercise.)

Seth Cropsey was assistant to the SecDef under Reagan.

Don’t dismiss him, unless you have read his recommendations.
