Unit 544 began with a handful of officers and has grown, as of March 21, to a roster of 65 officers, five sergeants and a lieutenant, city records show.

Like previous Chicago mayors, Lightfoot also has a separate personal bodyguard detail, which includes about 20 officers, the records show.

One of the main reasons that leftists are so attracted to politics: they can’t make much money in the private sector, and they know that they can live an elite lifestyle on taxpayers’ money once they are elected.

I have no problem with police if and only if the application of law is impartial and equal (neither of those last two criteria exist today).

I don’t blame her for making the taxpayers pay to protect her. They voted for her so they can eat a big shit sandwich.

Her security detail is almost 10% of the CPD available for duty.
How many homicides are they solving?
How many car-jackings are they preventing?
