  1. It’s hard to rally the sheeple over an “equivalent of war” issue. There is more money in military materiel because that needs more frequent replacing; for obvious reasons.

  2. I find the simulation unconvincing; not because I think that what they’ve shown isn’t possible, but because I believe that the damage wouldn’t be limited to Russia, the United States and Western Europe.

Once this shit starts, you don’t want any allies of either side or of supposedly “neutral” third-parties to be able to “build back better”; Canada’s major cities are toast for various reasons, and China and India will get involved.

It won’t totally destroy humanity, but it will set human civilization back hundreds if not thousands of years, with a sickened remnant desperately struggling for survival for centuries.

    Yay us.

  3. Boy that was a fun video.
Are you better off a) getting vaporized b) dying somewhat quickly c) dying slowly from radiation d) getting murdered by cannibals or e) trying to live through nuclear winter?

  4. Tic Tac Toe anyone?

The graphics in the 1983 movie are better than this modern simulation, a bit odd that Russia would target Montana and the Dakota’s before hitting the populated coastline and government seat in Washington. Joe wouldn’t remember how to use the football anyways and the nuclear code he needs is on Hunters laptop out of his reach.

    1. Two reasons to hit Montana and the Dakotas first: one, the Russians targeted their missiles across the Arctic, so the missiles attacking the west coast of America would be launched from the European Arctic while those targeting the East Coast would from the Arctic Far East. So they’d all get to Montana and the Dakotas first, on their way to the ultimate target. Second, they wanted to eliminate as much of the American missile capacity as possible, and that was largely based in that region. I learned all this growing up in Brandon, where civil defence used to reassure us that we were just about certain to take some kind of serious nuclear hit or hits as soon as the war began, since the sky over us would be flooded with missiles, and we could expect to be all gone by the end of the first day, no matter what happened elsewhere. It makes preparation easier.

  5. Damn, all those warheads passing Ottawa by and missing. In the event of a nuclear war who would nuke Ottawa? Russia?, US?, Britain?, France?, India?, Pakistan? Israel? Which nuclear power hasn’t the Sock Puppet insulted?

  6. I seem to recall, with great fanfare and media coverage, when Trump took office, they moved the dooms day clock to close to midnight

Wondering if those same idiots have adjusted the clock with Bidens gaffs about Russia

  7. “Neo-con” is a dog-whistle for a conspiracy theory to the effect that the war with Russia is a Jewish plot. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Jews, in Israel, are trying to stop this war.

The only people who want a war with Russia are the same people who bankrolled National Socialism.

  8. Add in EMP attacks blacking out vast swathes of the Northern Hemisphere and destroying most solid state electronics?

The final toll will be closer to a billion to two billion in the Northern hemisphere. It will be even worse in Africa even though they will not be hit with many, if any weapons. South and Central America? It will not be nuclear weapons that destroy those countries either.

  9. They started elevating violence on the Oscars tonight.

Today the tide turned, soy Boyz don’t fight. Agressive Young men from the ghetto…hell yeah those war mongering bastards need their canon fodder.

  10. Nuclear war would be horrific, but the results are usually wildly exaggerated. “Nuclear winter” was debunked scientifically decades ago. Radiation dissipates quickly and doesn’t cause the damage people think. Hiroshima was a thriving city after a few years, and Chernobyl is teeming with wildlife.

Cities would be incinerated, but relatively normal life would resume again quickly (10-20 years). We would not be set back by centuries.

Over 2,500 nuclear weapons have been detonated on the planet since 1945 with essentially zero lasting impact other than some craters in the desert.

It would be the greatest disaster since the black plague which killed 1/3 of Europe, but Europe recovered quickly then too.
