One of the great ignored issues with the CBC is that it is a STATE BROADCASTER. That means they broadcast what the STATE tells them to. Here we have that issue laid out for all to see.

The litmus test for any CPC leadership candidate must be a promise to defund the CBC. It should be the first thing done and after that stop giving the parliamentary press gallery any credence. A new credential group should be formed and headed by the rebel news. Payback bitches.
The true litmus test for the leadership candidate is to go on offence against the CBC and the rest of the loyal presstitutes. No trying to play nice. Anything less is a Lieberal pretending to be a conservative.
His story reads like the MYTH of grandma sitting in her double-wide watching televangelists all day and sending them her every last dime. The similarity with this narrative is enough to disqualify the story. It sounds totally bogus. Nobody I saw interviewed on the streets of the protest appeared quite as daft as to give-away their entire economic future to support the truckers.

CBC’s radio call-in show, Cross Country Checkup was on today while I was driving, and the question this week: Is the Liberal-NDP deal a bad idea? How important is dental and pharmacare to you?”. Does that sound like a balanced question to you?
The two times I listened in, all but one caller thought it was a great idea. The moderator says the Conservatives think this is a bad deal, it could raise the national debt more, and that some Canadians are angry. He did play devil’s advocate, although not as well as Rex Murphy might have. Since the only people who call in to CBC are Liberals, NDP and Greens, you can imagine how giddy everyone was who called in for this free grift, I mean gift. One guy from Quebec saw it as a ploy by Trudeau to keep power. I think they let him through because he wasn’t that articulate in his arguments.
Real work is not what the CBC does anyway.
So there’s that.
I knew from the moment I saw that story that nothing was real about it and here one has it.

I opened up their top story this morning before I went out. It was on the Liberal/NDP ‘coalition’, and there were about 2000 comments at the time. A dozen or more had from 100 to 200 ‘likes’ (one was 268), and all were highly critical of the deal. Went back there later and the comments are now closed at 6800+, but there are only *4* comments with 100 or more ‘likes’, and the top comment has only 169.
Where did all those posts go? I wasn’t the only one who noticed. The CBC simply DELETED a dozen or more threads, attempting to hide the fact that Canadians are not happy with this ‘coalition’ or whatever it is. Shameful!

Even more shameful, that the CBC regards itself as a serious media organisation when it is nothing more than a semi-high-brow influencer of the soft-minded, in the vein of TikTok.
