It’s not so much that Canadians object to “unacceptable views” as that they object to having their sense of “peace, order and security” disrupted by people expressing such views in public.
I am still appalled by the horde of ” police” who had no identification as they performed their thuggery. When the Toronto police were heavy handed during the G7 protests under Harper, there was follow-up and an investigation of abuses. We don’t even know who these people were. Were they Canadian? Identifying badges, etc. Were deliberately covered up. There needs to be an enquiry.
Absolutely sickening, he fled that kind of tyranny only to witness it in the NDP and Liberal run Canada.
Problem is, Canadians are utterly dumb sheep. Case in point. Day four since the mask mandate was lifted in Ontario. Did the weekly grocery shopping this AM. Three-quarters of store staff were masked as were eighty percent of customers. Same sort of face diaper fetish at the pharmacy. Sheep. Moronic sheep.
The staff have to wear masks. In this economy, ANY job is better than no job.
As for the customers, you are right: sheep.
Been going sans mask for a week.
You should see the fear in the eyes of some frontline cashiers.
They are very nervous.
They don’t wanna be around the maskless especially now that some places have removed the plexiglass shields.
That or it could be my old weathered mug.
