  1. Good news if local conservationists fight Big Green, all the big “environmental” organizations are thoroughly compromised by people who stand to make billions from fat government contracts and shaking down industry.

Climate change science fiction writers need to be mocked and ridiculed.

  2. I’ll side with the tree hugger and the Disney animal disciple over the carbon dioxide paranoid anyway.
Take your inferior wind, solar and battery gadgets and stick it…

    1. Agreed.
If they wanna raze something to put up a new nuclear power plant, start with the HoP, Queen’s Park, etc.
      No need to evacuate.

  3. The renegade greens might screw up the big-boy green’s plans to first get ICE vehicles off the road with a false promise of battery cars which will become environmentally unacceptable after that. The goal is to eliminate personal vehicles for the serfs. It’s why there are no plans to expand the grid capacity with real power (nuclear or hydro where possible) even though there are plans to get ICE vehicles no longer built.

    1. EVs will be for the rich the rest of us (according to Turdeau and Butts) will have to take public transit.

Thus the roads will be largely free of vehicles. Where oh where have we seen that before?

      1. Death Race 2000 ?
        Demolition Man ?
Various dystopian sci fi movies and literature.
I could go on but you get get the picture.

      1. Brilliant ! And let’s not forget the destruction of countless vistas and countryside from Wind (don’t call them ‘farms’) Factories. Sickening. No. The energy return is not worth the blight.

        1. If they actually gave a rat’s stool about the environment or the carbon dioxide’s, planting stuff where they bulldozed to make solar farms would have had a far greater net benefit. Obvious to most who have paid attention.

  4. Well… DUH!

Let us be honest here, the interest in protecting the environment is actually directly related to how stable your life is. (aka – can you put food on the table and provide warmth and shelter to your family?)

Happy and stable lifestyle = Look at the cute furry animal in these unspoilt old growth trees
Borderline lifestyle = If I can catch that animal I can uses this wood for cooking before I eat it. Then maybe I can catch another one tomorrow.

This is how life works and has since the primal soup joined the first cells together. Eat it or starve.

Even the ‘in touch with nature’ pre-domestication humans did that. Sure there is evidence that during the good times they knew not to kill the breeding females and that they should only take what they can eat, but during the bad times there was the tribes that killed and ate the last ever lesser spotted dwarf jumping pig and those who starved to death.

This is why nomadic cultures had such a wide range. They were following the food. People who lived in the proverbial ‘bread baskets’ tended to stay within the proverbial ‘bread basket’ cause hey, free food. No one became a nomadic for the giggles. They moved around following the food and if they ran out of areas to move around within they moved into neighbouring tribe’s ‘lands’ and ate their food instead.

Nomadic tribes either starved, took by force, or merged into bigger groups for mutual survival.

They did not live with nature in balance. They ate nature, or died.

Honest statement, if you want to protect the environment, first get a wealthy and stable society.

    1. 100%. Wealthy people have less children to use up resources as well. Want to see environmental destruction? Go to urban Central America or South Asia. You’ll see what poverty brings to the world. And THAT’s what the great green goblins have in store for us.

  5. Off topic:

Things might be hotting up in Ukraine. As well as media reports of shelling in the south coming in, the US has moved its Global Hawk drone away from the area it (and the unit it relieved) has been patrolling for most of the day. There is no public replacement on station, although a NATO (Italian) version of the same craft did take off from the same base (Sigonella Naval Air Station on Sicily) and went dark once it reached the Black Sea.

Incidentally, a Royal Canadian Air Force long range maritime patrol craft landed at the that base a couple of hours ago, straight from Canada.

    1. Anyone who believes in “green energy” should be forced to walk the talk. Windmills & solar only. And when they come shivering out from the dark, slam the door in their greenie faces.

    2. It’s easier to crap all over the first third world country too broke to say no to the “green” garbage than it is to clean up after themselves. And then, out of sight, out of mind and don’t we feel so warm and fuzzy about our virute posing!

  6. Every “environmental impact study” that has been produced for so called “green” energy never includes a section on decommissioning and recycling the component parts, as if it was required, then it would fail every resource test out there with their average 20 year life span, and no cost effective processes for recycling the materials

  7. Most of these people don’t give a rat-fart about “the environment” except the one on their computer screen, and have no understanding of or contact with nature. They’re just members of the vast army of trained sociopaths, always happy to find another stick to beat the deplorables with.
