      They’ve certainly said a lot of conflicting statements and threats. Typical, creates fear and uncertainty, just what LIEBrawls want.
      I’ve heard that only donations over $20 will be chased. I’ve heard only donations after February 14th will be chased.
      The Libs stated today “73 accounts have been frozen”. That’s not many at all, appears to be trucker accounts.
      So, we shall see what they do, if much at all. I’ve paid several bills a few weeks ahead of due date, just in case, and have pulled some cash too. Because we don’t know what a repressive regime the Psychopathic Liberals are capable of being.
      Hedging my bets, but I think they are mostly Huff and Puff, and short on action. That’s been their history. I could be wrong.

    3. I sympathise with your situation. First things first, do not panic. Viva Frei did a good commentary a couple of days ago, I will summarize the government CANNOT apply a law retro-actively, in simple English if you made your contribution before the Emergency Act becomes law then they can do NOTHING. (and the Emergency Act still has not and may not pass through parliament)
      If your bank attempts to freeze your account they are setting themselves up for huge consequences. Now given the current crazy times they may attempt illegal freezing of an account which would be very detrimental to you. Protect yourself, remove most of your money, given the current inflation you are actually losing money by “saving” at your bank. Holding cash at home is obviously risky, so a better option is to open an account in a foreign country that you believe is more stable than Canada, which, given we are headed on a similar trajectory as Venezuela I would argue is anywhere. Many are counselling buying physical silver or gold, that may be good advice but once again safe storage is an issue.
      I am not an investment consultant, whatever decision you come to you probably want to discuss with a trusted family member.

        1. There’s a diversity of DNA in that family. As in, the brother who objected to Castreau’s dictatorship ambitions shares no DNA with Justin. His father was Pierre, not Fidel and his mother was a woman, not Maggie Sinclair of the wide open legs.

  14. I have been watching the parliamentary debates on parlvu about extending the emergency declaration either indefinitely or, at least, for another month. Speaker after speaker makes the same points:

    1 – constituents are loudly demanding that the declaration be mooted and the mandates cancelled; and,
    2 – the speaker is personally against racism, violence, and white supremacy.
    A few make the further point that the the Trudeau liberals have refused any dialogue with the protestors and/or that Trudeau et al went from “who cares, they’re a nazi fringe” to calling in the jackboots and the full suspension of Canada’s “constitutional rights and freedoms” in one step.

    One, from Saskatchewan, actually said he spoke to a few protestors – but then protested that he, himself, is very much anti-racism, anti white supremacy, and against violence.

    Now, I only watched a couple of hours but it seems to me that the sales pitch for Trudeau’s actions is based on the belief that the truckers are racist nazis demanding white supremacy while burning down buildings and beating up passersby – basically a White Lives Matter group. In reality none of that is correct – but none of the conservatives I watched speak on the subject question any of this. Instead many quoted from such bastions of truth and objective reporting as the CBC or the Globe and Mail and only the one member gingerly admitted having once spoken to a protester before promptly reiterating his deep and livelong disapproval of nazis, racists, and other unacceptable vermin.

    So here’s an idea: contact your MP’s office and tell whoever you get to that the MP should be making it very clear in the house that the protesters are average non-violent Canadians from all races, all religions, and all regions exactly none of whom fit the mass media profile as nazis, racists, or white supremists.

  17. Who authorized city police from Calgary and Edmonton to go to Ottawa and help clear demonstrators and enforce the Emergency Measure Act?
    The Premier who said Alberta would not support the EMA, or the mayors of those two citys, or the police chiefs?
    Someone needs to be held to account for these officers being in Ottawa.

    1. This is an interesting thought. Is it legal to use municipal police in a different province? It’s one thing that’s different here in the United States. Each state has it’s own criminal law and police rules, so using Nevada police in California wouldn’t be a thing. Usually in emergencies it’s the National Guard that does this kind of thing and they can go from state to state.

      Are these kind of rules a thing in Canada?

    1. I don’t think the natives are monoliths any more than other ethnicities. I think we hear a lot of chatter from their political entities. They have interests in keeping federal money flowing into their band councils. The federal government uses these people like the Democrats in the USA use inner city black leaders. Throw them a bone now and again to keep the votes coming their way. A form of voluntary slavery. Note that the trucker protest has a lot of Native participation.

  20. It dawned on me at about day 5 of the Convoy, that we own the Canadian flag now, and the word Freedom.

    It’s at the point that if you fly a flag right now, you support the protests… Wonderful.

    1. I love turning the Liberal logo that is our flag into a freedom symbol. It is driving them nuts. I have seen liberal blog going into meltdown over it. Some are removing their flags from their houses. I say we need to double down on it. Flags everywhere and trucks.
