Let me paraphrase the Dishonorable Lametti – “The facts mean nothing (no one donated hundreds of thousands of dollars as the largest donation that I heard of was about 30K), we don’t like conservatives like Donald Trump so any excuse will do if you disagree with us (it won’t stay limited to the convoy because it is a big stick and we are going to use it as we wish), and you ought to be worried (the only part he got right) because we don’t give a damn about due process or rule of law, only the latest whim from the Ministry”.

Not really. It means you have descended into totalitarianism. The ” crimes” of course are meaningless as crimes, but the intimidation and oppression tactics are profound. Sure does not look like Canada.
As of Thursday morning February 17 traffic in the area of the Ambassador Bridge is a nightmare. The police and they’re local, provincial and federal are corralling bridge traffic into one lane. Through traffic on many city streets is being impeded by barriers and police vehicles. It was raining pretty heavily this morning and not a protester in sight. The police are the problem at this point.
I think parents should take their kids to go and visit the Nation’s capital this weekend as part of their ongoing education about who we are in a historical context. It is very important for future generations to learn about how freedom in a democracy works and specifically where in a geographical sense our hard working leaders are situated.
Do a salute to the people’s parliament and to our flag.

As an aside, the bridge at Windsor is a privately owned toll bridge owned and operated by an American billionaire (I think his heirs now).
